No this is not a fox body with 5.0 or LS1. It not a F-body nor is it a classic. It my 1998 Volvo S70 Non-Turbo 5 speed 2.4 L 5 Cylnder with 213XXX on the clock. Yes i know this vehicle has high miles but these cars are known for 500K PLUS! I have not ever had a successful build tread. And right now i cant afford a second vehicle for myself due to having a baby due in July. So with that being said, the plan for this car is to be a fun dd back and forth to work but not just work commute. But for going on trips and other miscellaneous things. At first the thread will be slow but as the weather breaks more fun and excitement will arise. The reason im posting this here is because every vehicle that i have owned that I have posted on here has had lots of complements from the Motown community and I am happy proud to be a member of Motown Muscle! Here some recent pictures of the car and some parts plus the new Mountain bike i picked up. (Starting to get back into bike riding) Like i said, its a build and B.S thread.

They are great cars for the money, just make sure you do you maintenance and repairs... paying someone else do do it on (any) Volvo is $$$$

Oh yea this is true. Before I got the car I did my research on them. The plus side of this car is that it was in the hands of a Volvo technician. His son and I traded before. I had a Yellow ZX3 Focus and I traded him for his 89 Ranger 4x4. When I found out that little one was on the way i started looking for a different ride so i can fit the baby in the car. The kid hit me up with is Volvo saying that he really wants his truck back and offered me the car. I have receipts for the work his dad did. Mostly front end work was done. All fluids where changed and brakes where done.

Do the timing belt, all pulleys, water pump, and tensioner every 60K. Use genuine volvo parts.

Thanks for the heads up!! I know the Serp. belt was just done before I got the car. I think I wanna make it my goal to make this a Million mile car. We shale see as time goes on.

If the timing belt throws or goes, the engine is junk. The job is not hard to do, yet people put it off until...... oh snap, happens.

Right, Im not to worried about it right now but once I get into the upper 200 possibly near the threes I may look into then. Hopefully Ill have another truck by then so i can have a parts chaser.

Small update!! Installed my K&N filter in the car on Saturday. Really liking it. Need it to be warmer so i can install my radio and speakers. lol volvo.jpg

Update: Well went to leave work last night and the battery light came on. Left it at work and rode home with dad. Went with a buddy of mine and picked her up at 4:30 A.M :gr_zzz: But we got her home and dad and I will fix her up this weekend.

Soo this past weekend Dad and I got the alternator in the car. But i had to replace the radio due to the factory radio went into security mode and I don't have the code to unlock it. Plus i replaced my fog light bulbs to Yellow hellas to see a little better at night.
