"Cry"slur makin head lines again

I bet this happens in some shape or form at every manufacturing facility in the country. I'm glad the co-workers of these jackasses brought it to someones attention. I hope those suspension are actual firings.

It happens in more than manufacturing in every company there are people who come to work or go out on lunch and drink or smoke weed. They just dont make the headlines because they dont work in the auto industry. Its the same as the CEO's of companies going out for a so called business lunch and have 2 or 3 drinks happens everyday. That just does not make for good media attention. Thats why I hate Rob Wolcheck or how ever you pronounce his name. They are really not intersted in really making a difference as the claim just making a story. I bet he wont walk thru the Fox 2 halls and do a story on the people in his office that do the same thing.

Just saying.... All in all it seems like the Chryslers that come through the shop are junkers.......

http://www.daimlerchryslervehicleproblems.com/ has a lot of info that sums it up... there will be websites like this pointing out the defects of other manufacturers, but I have seen some of this junk roll through our shop doors.

And sorry if you work for them. I am not trying to insult you personally.

Dont be sorry. Chrysler is junk. For almost any new vehicle they make, Ford or GM makes something better in every aspect. Anyone who argues with that is out of their mind. RAM vs F150? 200 VS Fusion? The Town & Country is kind of bad ass, but its still a Chrysler. Put a cap on a F150 and call it a day, make the kids ride in the bed with the tailgate down on the highway...rear seat DVD entertainment will be the last of their worries.

Some people have had zero problems with Chrysler and I get that, if I was that person, I'd be playing the lottery.

In regards to the video, its mind blowing how people take a good job like that for granted in the economy, regardless of who its for.

The Ram is the best looking truck out of the big three, but everything Chrysler makes can go straight to the junkyard. Their full-size cars are hideous with their huge side panels. Their little cars are just junk. The Jeep line sucks except for the wrangler, too.

The new Durango or whatever the hell it is looks pretty mean though.

I can pretty much guarantee that nobody above the 1st floor at Dearborn or the RenCen is going out at lunch everyday and sparking one up.

Even if they were, it's a dubious comparison. Every day the executives at the Big 3 go through the list of maimed hands, severed fingers, broken legs that result from workplace injuries on the floor. Sparking one up, downing a 40 oz. and operating a press with 100,000 pounds of force is a little more dangerous than two cocktails before you go back to the accounting desk.

X2.

x3 but the union slappies wont understand that point at all, they will just cry foul that everyone is picking on them. Same ole story each time.. Can't wait to see what this thread turns into.

It's not really a union thing to me, it's a safety thing. I "might" work with a couple guys that twist a lefty during the day, but the only thing I have to worry about with them is getting a paper cut if they hand me a piece of paper. I don't have to worry about the Hi-Lo driver or Press Operator killing me because his reflexes are a little slow from smoking.

I've seen a lot of different environments, corporate and other. I have never personally witnessed a job where you could get away with this stuff. Most real jobs would put you out on your ass.

It's funny you say that. That was brought up on the radio this morning and they had a clip of someone ask him about that. He basically said something along the lines of "I'd love to do a story about the executives doing the same thing but they would be tougher to catch. Apparently they are smart enough not to do it in the same spot every day! I thought that was funny.

Not insulting me. But if you look thru that website, it's all stuff before the bankruptcy. Daimler and Ceberus drain funds and nickle & dimed the company to death. And yes, a lot of the stuff built prior to 2010 is junk. They've gone thru the entire lineup to get rid of the defects. The Caliber I have is a 2010, and for what it is, it drives fine. No rattles, no squeeks or any other problems in the first 15K. The cheap ass interior was redesigned and the car, for being a base model, it well equiped.

As for those who would knock a Ram without driving one, you'd be greatly surprised. And it definitely looks better than the F150. I've had a chance to drive most of the product line except for the Wrangler, Patriot and the Challenger. To me, they run the gamut from not bad to WOW. The Ram, GC and Durango fall under WOW! A LOT of improvements to the 200. The Charger and the 300 are NICE! With the 280HP in the Caravan, it just hauls. The only thing about the vans I don't like is the hinky shifter on the dash panel. There's a reason Chrysler turned a profit the last two quarters and were able to repay their loans.

By the way, I see far more fire issues with Fords than anything else I look at. Between leaky fuel lines, faulty cruise switches and other issues, I'd be more concerned about a fire in one of them than a Chrysler (or GM). And so this doesn't look like I'm picking at Ford, my first three new(er) cars were Fords, including my Ranger with 274K. Very happy with it.

So you think they're drinking at Auburn Hills, but not at the Ren Cen or Dearborn? And we're supposed to take you seriously?
