"Cry"slur makin head lines again

It happens in more than manufacturing in every company there are people who come to work or go out on lunch and drink or smoke weed. They just dont make the headlines because they dont work in the auto industry. Its the same as the CEO's of companies going out for a so called business lunch and have 2 or 3 drinks happens everyday. That just does not make for good media attention. Thats why I hate Rob Wolcheck or how ever you pronounce his name. They are really not intersted in really making a difference as the claim just making a story. I bet he wont walk thru the Fox 2 halls and do a story on the people in his office that do the same thing.

I will get flamed for this i'm sure, but that's ok. (and yes i have been on both sides of this opinioin)

There is a difference in an executive who spends his day behind a desk who has a cocktail or two on a buisness lunch. Versus those who come to work with tools and machinery with people who have to directly interact with them. The buisness guy won't drop the phone reciever on your head causeing serious injury....the crane operator may hit the wrong button slammin a few thousand punds of metal into you with severe results. I used to work with a guy who drank on a regular bassis, and i told my boss i refused to work anywhere near him, and told him why. Sorry but when i have a 3500Lb or more vehicle hanging over my head, i don't want a drunk guy anywhere near me. But on the other hand, in the company i work for now, i feel ok talking with the sales guy who had two glasses of wine, over a 2 hour lunch meeting. Yes partially hippocritical, but has become part of the standard. But if there is a rule against it, i would want to see them punished just the same as the factory worker. I know what my conduct rules say, and i don't partake in drinking on lunch.

I know some county employees (white collar) that have a BAC in their contract! They can go and have 1 or 2 at lunch and not get in trouble for it.

See keyword "ALMOST" any new vehicle. ;) RWD 4 door sedan? I'll take a Taurus SHO instead. I have nothing bad to say about Jeep, I've had good experience with them. Though, I'm interested to see how the new JGC air suspension holds up with some miles on it. I have nothing against Chrysler personally, but after driving literally thousands of their new vehicles I would not buy one in a million years. Everything on them is just made cheaper. Everything is smaller, thinner, weaker. I can't tell you how many RAM's I drove where the dash rattled with 5 miles on them. Like I said, some people have good luck with them, your probably one of those few people. With that being said, lets go to Vegas and you can play with my money. :lol:

I agree that they had a very shitty run up until very recently. That was DCX's fault, 100%. The bought the cheap parts, every time, and it showed. That having been said, they are righting the ship.

And yes, I'd take an SHO over a Charger R/T, but then again...
SHO = $40,000
Charger R/T = $31,000

Everyone has known this behavior exists since the 70's, it has given Detroit & auto workers a bad name - it's time to take out the trash, get rid of the POS workers and find someone that takes pride in what they do. Worst part is the UAW protects these POS
My wife has stories upon stories. It drives her nuts. They had a guy at her plant crawl into a tarped demo car and take a 3 hour nap. He got sent home. He filed a grievance, the UAW got him his missed pay, and all record of the incident was removed from his file... because he was never told he wasn't allowed to do that.
