Yes especially Pickup trucks. I listed a 95 Chevy last week that was not pretty putting in nicely. I had 55 messages in the first hour.

I just turned in my wifes lease a year early and walked away with a check for 5500.00 2019 ram 1500

buddy sold his 2 week old silverado and made money

Used car market is hot right now for all cars because new car inventory is low due to all the pandemic issues and chip shortages.

Semiconductors, port delays, logistic issues, petrochemical shortages, now labor shortages its only going to get worse. OEM's are cutting production days resulting in shortages equals supply and demand issues. If you want a new car in 6 months put a deposit in now.

wait 6 months, several local Ford dealers have less than a 30 day supply of vehicles

A Chevy dealer in Kzoo probably only has a couple trucks on the lot and maybe couple dozen cars/ SUV's etc. They probably normally have hundreds of vehicles and can't even find a place to park by the service bay to get parts.

Don't forget all the people who spent the stimulus cash on new vehicles as well.

Maybe there will be a flood of repo's once the extra unemployment/ stimulus money runs out...

It is kind of funny - I had a 2019 Silverado LT that I bought new. It was low mileage, but nothing special, just one trim level up from the work truck with a few extra options. I did get it on the GM Employee plan, but I just traded it in on a new Silverado. I was given $44,000 for it on trade which is 5k+ more than I paid for it in 2019. I got a new Silverado Trail Boss....

I am thinking on getting a new Equinox to replace my 2018 Equinox. I paid $22,500 for it in 2018, again on the GM Plan and I was offered $20,000 for it on trade. It only has 24,000 miles on it and is in great condition, but still it is quite a bit. Ahain, it is a middle of the road Equinox, and nothing special. Carvana offered $20,500 for it, but you do get a $420 sales tax break on trade ins so it works out pretty close. Just way easier to trade it in than deal with craigslist people.

Just my .02......grr

My Camaro is almost six years old, and the NADA retail is only $6k less than I paid for it. Thinking about just offing it now and ordering a new one as soon as orders open again. You have to figure that even if the chip shortage resolves in July, it is going to take six months to a year for the market to get back to normal.

Yeah, it actually had me looking at selling my Daily Driver. 2017 Focus with 58k miles 6 speed. But my little gas sipper is worth its weight in gold right now.

Vroom offered me almost $45k for my 2019 F150 with 23k miles.
Problem like the housing market is good luck replacing it.

I have a 05 Colorado, 2wd with 285k on it that is sitting in my driveway. A car salesman stopped and asked out of the blue if I would take 3k for it. I can't imagine what they would mark it up to on the lot.

It's been like this for a year, steadily getting worse (or better if you're selling). The prices for used Tacomas is off the charts. 10 year old Tacos with 100k miles selling for $25,000 etc
