The edelbrock carb is a carter copy. Great carburators. If its not running right it might needs rejetting and adjustmet.
I personally like the holley 650 mechanical secondary double pump spread bore. Its a good blend of dirveability and power and will give excelent fuel economy when setup properly thanx to its small front primarys.
Quadrajets rochsters are also good carbs when properly dialed in and setup. They can deliver great power and good economy and driveability but they require work to make right.
A holley most likely will need adjustments to so really it boils down to end user care and setup to get all carbs to work correctly regardless of the advertising to the contrary.
