Carb Suggestions

Thousand Dollar Carb for a very mild street car with a 30 over 350 in it???
Ok...:headscrat

Hmmm...he asked for a suggestion. He can't get the carb to work that he has so what makes you think that he can get a Holley tuned to it.

BTW, it would NOT cost him 1K.

whats wrong with demons?

Cheap ass junk.

The main bodys are damn near made out of tin foil. All the air bleed holes are non-adjustable on most and are horribly incsistant. Heard stories of people getting metal in new carbs from bad QC was kinda a skeptic of it untill recent.

A guy at work boat one for his boat, thing is a pile of crab looks and feels cheap compared to a base street series holley. Had tons of metal shavings in it when it was taken aparat for jetting. needle and seats were all fubared and sticking, floats out of adjusment mind you this is on a brand new not referbished that he just bought.

I'm not saying that can't be made to work but off the shelf they got serious issues with QC, if you buy one form a carb shop its a different story they fix all that shit for ya.

JUNK

The proform series carbs are awesome never had a problem with them.

The edelbrock carb is a carter copy. Great carburators. If its not running right it might needs rejetting and adjustmet.

I personally like the holley 650 mechanical secondary double pump spread bore. Its a good blend of dirveability and power and will give excelent fuel economy when setup properly thanx to its small front primarys.

Quadrajets rochsters are also good carbs when properly dialed in and setup. They can deliver great power and good economy and driveability but they require work to make right.

A holley most likely will need adjustments to so really it boils down to end user care and setup to get all carbs to work correctly regardless of the advertising to the contrary.
