As a former 53 F100 Owner, be aware that the crown vic ifs swap pushes you into +offset wheels to keep track width in check.

Other than that and I went 5.0/t5 you are planning a copy of my old build. Do NASCAR truck arm suspension out back while you are at it. :D

yea, the front end is pretty wide for the 48-52s but it will be narrowed. I saw someone successfully do it on Fordtruckenthusiests. Im not scared because it will be a truck with some patina on it for the time being. I will eventually do a different rear end. For now its a cut/weld and drive truck.

I'll probably get laughed at, but a Red or Black SSR. 6.0, roots blower, 6 speed.

I like the wheels on this one:

I did vehicle development on those. The 5.3L was a joke, the design guys thought that the truck was going to be 4000#, and were shocked when it actually came out to be 4760. A lightly optioned v8 2wd trailblazer weighed 4500# and this truck was the long wheelbase trailblazer ext (2wd 5000#) with 7" cut off of the frame where the front and rear halves are welded together. They literally took the li g wheelbase frame and hacked 7"off before welding it to the front half. The power top weighed 300#.. they were screwed from the get go.

The 6.0 woke things up a lot and 6 speed was a 5.3s 0-60 13.7 truck. Not too shappy for the porker it was. That truck is pretty damn solid. Only thing I'd worry about is the roof weather seals. All the mechanical is v8 trailblazer.

It was fun to drive when they were new on the market, and somewhat fun for a truck on the mountain roads.

I think I like them because they are so different than anything else on the road. Different doesn't always mean good, but at least it's "quick".

There's definitely that. Headers, cam and springs to 450HP, get it to hook a bit better (all my advertising 0-60 runs were done on regular asphalt with a 2.1 60') and the truck can run 12.9's. It has the same 9.5" axle as the TBSS so the driveline can take it no prob.
