Calling all performance TRUCK / SUV people in the Mitten!

Yes 4wd launch on street tires and 4800 pounds

4800 with you in it? I'm about the same with a full tank.
I always thought the dodges were heavier...

Hey superman, not sure if you missed my above post.
What are the specs on the turbo kit you're swapping on?
You ever have yours to the track with the Maggie?
I know a couple other guys with similar setups and they just cannot hook to get any decent numbers

Dodges are heavier every chevy i have seen and mine included is lighter, my ram had some weight removal done

TRUCK (640x360).jpg
Stock Z71, 4.8, 4in drop in the front and 6 in the rear. I've always wanted a fast truck but my car gets most the attention although I'd probably be further ahead had I built the truck.

I wish I could trade my firebird for a clean stock RCSB silverado with no options, I really have grown fond of them.

Yeah, the old body style, like 88-98 ck1500's were nice and light too! I'm typically envious when I see someone build those up with a nice sport stance and an LSx swap. There's a guy on the west side of the state who has a SUPER clean maroon one that's getting a turbo right now.

4.8's love psi!!!
Good to see another lowered 4wd at 4/6! I'm about 4.5/7

There's a SUPER clean, underbody and everything, black NBS 03-05 RCSB Z71 right across from where I work that I keep staring at and getting bad ideas, haha. Never stopped to look at what options it has though.

Here are some more of mine just to keep the thread going

NICE! How is the front of yours lowered?

NICE! How is the front of yours lowered?

Tubular lower control arms, spindles, and Ridetech/Fox's. Hotchkis sway-bars, and Cognito double shear pitman and idler mounts.
Looking to raise the upper control arm mount on the frame, but that's beyond my fab skills....

Random add to this thread but just this past Labor Day I was coming off M53 and at the long lake & van dyke light right before the dealerships was a 2013 gt500 & and a blue chevy regular cab.

From that light down to wattles they raced three times and each time from what i could see from way back they looked absolutly dead even, shelby driver sounded like he could grip too. The truck was blue/dark blue and had black rims with tinted windows and lowered, thats all I got haha.

The Shelby sounded good but the truck was screaming!

ahhhh, well... in that case... Need a 4wd test-mule without AC and efans?!?
I've been close to pulling the trigger on another brand, but maybe I'll hold out and see what's in store. Really wanting 3" cross over, and 4" DP, preferably with wastegate on turbo manifold...

Our kit shouldn't have any issues fitting both 2wd and 4wd! We also will mostly likely make a cold side to fit the factory fan which in turn shouldn't have any issues to clear e-fans as well!
3" crossover?!?! No way, that would kill spool time and do nothing to enhance performance. A 2.5" crossover is even well overkill, and will support well north of 1000rwhp. We will be doing a 2.5" crossover, and will build a couple different downpipes to fit different turbos in 3" and 4" so we should have you covered!

Excellent! Thanks for the answers.
Yeah I couldn't find any info on the setup on your site?
Do your crossovers go in front of engine, or behind and underneath?

Where will your intercooler be placed?
Gonna squeeze behind grill, or down between frame rails?
I may just be interested in hot side mainly, since my cold side might need a little customizing to reach my lower placed lsxr opening...

No problem, we don't have any info out yet as we are still in process on the kit and finishing it up. We will be trying both a behind grill IC option as well as the lower option, unsure what we will use a standard now however. Crossover will go down low and behind, but it will have a very nice wastegate location that will get exhaust from the entire system and not just the one bank!

Please keep us updated here as the kit comes along!

Anybody in here want to get a little truck meet going on at a test & tune this weekend? Weather looks dry. Might make a little day trip over to US131 Raceway this Saturday. Test & tune is open from noon - 6pm. Never been there, but I've heard from several people that it's the nicest strip in the Mitten!
...or Sunday is bracket racing at Milan, or test & tune at Lapeer (I think they're still open).

131 is nice. Great group of people run it. The suv I'm working on is getting close. See you guys next year to have fun with that.

I love the look of a RCSB, but love the utility of a CCSB. A friend of mine has an 04 RCSB with full Silvy SS trim, a blown 6.0 a T56. He even made exhaust tips to match the original Silverado SS show truck. I had the original 4.8 out of his truck in my RCLB 94 Z71.
