I am a white guy and I work with a black guy, so we talk all day about weird racial stuff. Our conversations are actually pretty enlightening. I figured i'd show him what an anonymous public might say about cultural differences.

Why do black teenagers tend to walk in front of a passing car? In my neighborhood black kids seem to stand in the middle of the road, and not get out of the way of oncoming cars. The white kids are always on the sidewalk. The kids in the road almost seem like they are acting like hard asses.

Why do fairly svelt black men like big, fat white women? You would think that people with similar body types are attracted to each other, but you often see large white women with thin black men.

Why can't black people swim?

Three simple questions. Remember, these are all in fun and not meant to start a bunch of crap.

white kids walk in the street too... when they are trying to impress their black friends... i dont care what they look like if they are in the street and donw want to move then they are gonna catch the mirror of my truck to the back of the head if they want to be assholes

this question has always bewildered me as well... i dont get why black guys will go for a white girl before a black girl anyways... and as for the large part who knows

im white and i cant swim very well either so i dont know
 
they don't have pools in the city/ghetto....thats what the black guys and few girls told me whom I used to work with...

Although I will add on #2 that skinny redneck white guys seem to go for big women too, don't understand it in either case.
 
All about how they're raised. That goes for any race.

Answer me this, why don't you ever see black people ICE fishing?
 
I know if you drive down Gratiot at any given time you will see a black person crossing. The cross walk could be 50feet away and the still need to cross like frogged.
 
Black guys like white girls because white girls are different. White girls dont like black guys because white girls are raised not to like black guys. Black girls get mad at white girls who date black guys because they think black guys should want black girls. This is what my experience has told me.
 
I was driving from the store back to my house (in Midland...not exactly ghetto)...a bunch of 20-24 year old white guys were standing in the street blocking the road while they were playing basketball (had the hoop set up on the curb and were using the street as the court). When they finally moved, they started acting like complete idiots, yelling and swearing at me, giving me the finger...etc. I did this :rolleyes: and drove on through.

So, yeah...not just a racial thing...more of a generational thing. Even though I am roughly the same age, I have to say that a lot of people in the 18-24 year old range just don't have any respect for anyone else or their property.
 
I don't see too many people stand in the street w/o moving, but it does seem to be a little more prevalent with black kids. I think its an ego thing either way. Tryin to look tough in front of buddies, but that kinda shit has been around forever in all races, thats just what it is now.

Black men like white women, IMO, because they are generally easier to get along with compared to black women. The stereotype of the finger waving, yelling, overly confident and annoying black women is not just a stereotype for no reason. The white girls will make their man dinner, give them some lovin, and not feel like they are owed the world. Makes sense to me. You see skinny white guys with fat white girls all the time, so I dont think thats anything strange.

And black kids arent pushed towards swimming at a young age. They are much more interested in basketball, football, robbery, etc. Not many have boats (from what I've seen) and the public schools in black majority districts arent known for their swim teams or even have a decent pool.

The better question is how many on this board have even lived around black people? Not talking about the one family that lives around the block. I mean in The D. I grew up at 6 mile & Mound, so I saw some shit.
 
Anyone live in ann arbor? Been numberous times where there is not a cross walk in sight and white/asian/black students will walk out into the road, look at you, and expect you to stop. Back when my mustang was running i used to start slowing down, put the clutch in and did a little heel and toe work to pop the rear tires loose (still slowing down under control though) just to scare the shit out of them. After a semester people would hear me coming, step out, then step back onto the curb.

What races like who isnt a big deal to me. Its how people are raised. Some are raised to like everyone, some are raised to only like what you see in the mirror. Personally, im mixed so i wish everyone would get the fuck past race.

The finger waving/yelling/etc is something from the "hood". The bigger problem is that there are many more educated black women than black men. For every white girl who will cook, clean, and give some lovin, there's a black girl who will too. Why cant people just be attracted to a different race? This country is so stuck on pointing fingers at people's skin color. I have white friends and black friends who both hav e parents who would disapprove of them bringing home the opposite race...until those generations die off and parents accept any race for their child, racism will exist.

Swimming is pretty obvious. How many black kids parents know how to swim? It doesnt take anything more than 2 generations to go back to a time where this country treated blacks a completely different way than it is today. And now a days its hit or miss on what people can swim...not what races. The playing field is leveling off on what resources are available for what races. I think the only one lacking is education.

Besides, im black and white. I only have 1 black friend who cant swim. I was raised in southfield and went to southfield schools (95% black). So those stereotypes are sinking fast....
