Batter Up - Tigers Heading North

The Tigers has three exhibition games left before starting the season in Toronto on Monday. Tomorrows game will be in Lakeland and two in Atlanta on Friday and Saturday. They are 13-16 this spring which means...absolutely nothing.

So where does everyone think the Tigers will finish? Win the Central Division? Win the Wild Card. Finish last? Each team in the Central could win (yes, even KC) and every team (yes, even the Tigers) could finish last. Chicago appears to have the best pitching and the Tigers and Indians look good in the field. The Twins are...the Twins; they play the game the right way and are always in the mix. The Royals have a lot of good young players.

I think it will be;

1) Cleveland
2) Detroit
3) Chicago
4) Minnesota
5) Kansas City

I think the Wild Card will be between Detroit, New York and Tampa Bay and is a toss up. I think the Angels are going to the World Series against the Dodgers.

By the way the Tigers starting pitching staff will Verlander, Jackson, Minor, Porcello and Gallaraga. When Bonderman is ready, he'll take over for Minor. Zumaya says he'll be ready to go by May 1st.

I will go out on a limb and say the Tigers will go all the way this year.

Last year was strictly my fault for buying a mini season pack. I'm going to stay out of their way this year so they can win it all. :D It will be a true riches to rags to riches three year swing. :D

I was pretty stoked about this year early on....but pitching injuries aren't making Bonderman or Zumaya look too good for the future. I think Cabrera/Granderson will have HUGE years, Maags will fall off a bit, and Guillen will be a wild card. My guess is 3rd/4th in the central, but hopefully I'm wrong.
