Barn find Capri

Thanks to Smooth I am now the proud owner of a 1984 Capri. She has some rough areas, but very fixable. It's a 4 banger V-8 conversion. I don't know what my plan for the car is yet, but I couldn't pass up on the deal.

The car came with 3 engines. 2 long block 302's. One is a 1980 and the other is a roller, I assume it's an '85. According to the owner the car has a 69-70 302 from a Mach. He originally told me it was a Boss, but that's not the case.

It's got a C-4 in it now. I also got a T-5 with the car.

Sorry for the shitty pictures, I'll have some better ones soon. The Gold spots on the car are touch up paint. I thought it was bondo at first, but it's where the paint was messed up. He just gobbed some paint on it to keep it from rusting. If anyone has a good RT door or Fender let me know.

Thanks!

Nice looks like a good project and with all that stuff that comes with it youll have all the options you want

He had it out of the garage when we got there. We spent maybe 45 mins there loading up the parts and car.

Nice buy Matt good luck with it :D

I like the vintage WRIF decal on the hatch

That's one of the reasons I bought it. B.House might have a line on the ASC ground effect kit.

I was ready to jump on that because we have been looking for a project

(a learning experience in other words..)

I used to have one of those vintage wrif stickers back in the day.

that car looks great!

Car looks solid

The smallest ci motor you could get in the 69/70 Mach 1 was either a 351W or a 351C.
The Mach 1 wasn't available with a 302 until 1971.
