Automotive Machine

no sense arguing about it i wasn't around then and im not going to get in the middle of it.

Maybe there was problems with the work maybe it was something else. Ive seen many things happen and take out bearings, knock the main bores/rods out of round etc.

I just found it interesting how you seemed to be happy and it ran fine to begin with. If all you say is true im surprised it ever even ran.
So once it runs, your boss is off the hook? Must be nice to run a business like that. Zero accountability.

what im saying if something was wrong with it it would show very quickly within the first few minutes or miles vs. after making several passes down the strip where something else could cause it.

So me driving my car 150 miles with no boost and never taking it over 3500 rpm to break it in destroyed it?

i was referencing trbobuick i just find it odd how it was able to run and run down the strip with what he says was wrong with it.

Even though incompetence at Automotive Machine could explain both engine failures, I am sure there is a completely different unique cause for each one. Because just like in science, the more complex explanation is usually true, not the simplest one.

Geoff, theres no complex explanation here. He threw a bunch of poorly machined parts together, didn't do what I paid to have done and gave it back to me. Thats incompetence at its finest.

I paid to have the rods checked and resized. Was that done? No

I paid the have the motor line bored and honed. Was that done? No

I paid to have the motor balanced. Was that done? No

I paid to have new pistons installed. Was that done properly? No

What would you call this? Its not a complex problem.

John Lahone at Livernois said it was one of the worst put together motors he had ever seen. I paid 2800 and change to build it, thats including 6 new Diamond forged pistons. It cost me almost twice that to have it fixed 150 BREAK IN MILES later.

Andy, you know I was being sarcastic, right? They fucked up both motors due to incompetence. Just like in science, the simpler the explanation the more likely it is true. Saying that the same thing happened to two different motors for two different reasons doesn't make any sense at all.

Any recommended machine shops for a small project? One cylinder motor need bored and honed. Valve work. Etc.
