I am looking to have the some work done and advice on my daily driver Jeep Cherokee and I am looking for the right source to do it without totaly breaking my bank account.
I currently have the following:
Pioneer DEH-P7500MP
Pioneer GEX-P910XM XM Receiver
Rockford Fosgate replacement speakers
JL Audio 10" Subwooofer
Pioneer GM-X332 Subwoofer Amp
I would like something a bit newer, more powerful and definitely better sounding. I don't need much in the bass department, I like to feel the music but I am more of a rock and metal listener so I want a system designed more for that. The last thing I want to do is make my neighbors piss their pants with bass thumping. Rap is not my thing. I am not looking for a pro competition system. No wild fiberglass fabrication, no neon and bling bling but I just want a serious setup that is solidly designed, is powerful and an evolution of what I have now.
I need a system planned out, either by buying new stuff or utilizing what I have now and adding to it. What I have now is okay, bit I am not getting a "wall of sound" that I am hoping to find. I need someone who can take a little bit of time to help me figure out what I am trying to accomplish and then suggest what I need to buy and what I don't need to buy for the end result I am trying to attain. Then of course I will need it all installed. I might want more speakers added to non-stock locations, but that is more up to the pro I am hoping to find. I also need the wiring redone, the factory wiring is breaking down (7 year old vehicle).
I don't care if it is a shop or a person who does it on the side as long as the work is quality and the price is fair and whoever does it stands by their work. One requirement if it is not a shop that does this is that the work is still done by someone with professional experience. Hell, I would love to help if necessary so I can learn more about it but I sure don't want to get in anyone's way. My own garage can even be used for it but I am still not opposed to having a shop do it. Whatever as long as it is done right.
I know of one source that has done minor work for me in the past, but I would like to know what my options are and I am sure you some of you guys here have your sources, so please point me in the right direction if you can! TIA!
