about 10 years ago I was pulled over on my way home from work from a state police, got me out the car to do a search which they tell me they found another VIN number in the car I am highly aware that this type of vehicle is stolen a lot but when I purchased the car I looked at all the VIN numbers and made sure everything matched 100%. when they told me they found another VIN on the car I was shocked and asks to show me but they refused that was the last day I have seen my car I don't know whatever happened to it where it is or if it did go back to the original owner I still have the title to the car and it's actually still in my name for some reason. I know I should have done something then when it happened but I didn't I just don't know why so yes it is my fault but every day it always leaves me wondering what ever happened to that car. I actually wonder where it is or who has it or if its local or if the event was changed over I don't know but would like to ask someone for honest advice or maybe even a lawyer about this even though it's been a while ago. I don't know if they can find out the info of what happens to the car by running the VIN number that's on my title, my guess is it was stamped with a new VIN number but I think it should be in history of the vehicle and law enforcement or Secretary of State should be able to know these things. just would like to know some of your guys opinions on this if I should go forward with this or just let it go even though I have for the past 10 years which I feel dumb about it but it kills me still to this day that my car is gone. Oh and it was an 87 grand national so yea I get the theft thing well.
