Anyone else noticed this?

Since the smoking ban, the sidewalks and streets in front of bars and restaurants have turned into ashtrays.

I've seen this at 2 restaurants and 1 bar already this week. Even more cigarette butts littering the sidewalks and curbs of local bars and restaurants than usual. I'm talking Birmingham, MI.

Guess businesses will need to invest in disposal units and more people will need to think about places to put their butts other than on the ground :crap:

Bars already should have had ashtrays, and the people that are throwing butts on the ground should have been kicked in the ass by their parents years ago for being inconsiderate. One of my biggest pet peeves is people littering, and somehow a lot of smokers feel it is ok to litter constantly.

yep noticed it too, funny part is alot of the cities wont let them put the ashtrays up becuase its a public sidewalk
 
I didn't notice... But we finally went to dinner last night since the ban and holy crap was it nice! The smoke was cleared out so it was nice and bright and clean! :D

the ones with the small plastic neck and the can at the bottom. ROFL you know how many of those i have seen that look like a smokestack, due to the fire inside.
If i due toss a cig on the ground i rip off the filter to toss that in a trash can. The rest of the cigerette is all biodegradable.

A bag from McDonalds is biodegradable too.
 
Im sure the city will start fining the establishments for litter once they get wind of it...then the restaurants and bars will have to sweep up at nights end
 
I was doing some concrete work on Woodward in Ferndale and had to go into a bar to tell them to move there cars....The place was empty but had 3 ppl at the end of the bar smoking, with a stand up fan blowing the smoke out the back door! :lol:
Oh, and another bar (next to Detroit Choppers) had the employees sneaking out to the front patio to have a smoke.

I havent noticed either, but it will be fixed. There will be signs and such that if you litter you will get a ticket,so then cops will be hiding around bars in cities like birmingham and then crack down giving people tickets for a couple of weeks and then everyone will start using the ash trays that are out side of the bar...


Moral of the story, smokers are dirty.

Did you clean up all the cigarette butts? No use complaining about it unless you cleaned them up.
