Had to move the car to a buddy's last night which is just down a few blocks, instead of loading then unloading it on a trailer we towed it with a golf cart. Must say its the first time I've rode in a car towed by a cart on the street haha:slomo:

Gonna have it out for next weekend?

I'd like too but I'm still waiting on parts to finish the brakes, I have to put the convertor (just showed up yesterday) and trans in along with the drive shaft then finish wiring it along with some little tid bits here and there. Had to stop working on mine to work on some cars for the business to get them ready for the 4th that on top of working some ot at the normal job its looking hard pressed to make it but I'm going to try my best to make it happen. Only way I'll make it is if everything goes perfect and there's no more hick-ups once I get back to working on it Monday.

hey derrick if you need some help getting it buttoned up, i get off at 11 i can help whenever

I'm back on days so 7a to 3p again. I may be pulling a all night'er Thursday to finish it depending on how far along I get with it between Monday and Thursday. Still don't have some parts that are needed so might not matter to much pending how late in the week they show up. btw If I do end up out there Thursday I'll definitely let you know cuz I'll need the help lol

A lot of respect budd ... It's nice to see people still building their own cars.

I've learned to hold my own when it comes to this car building crap lol, this is my third car that has gone from a shell to a soon to be completed race car. I've had about five or six that never got completely finished or got put together and then taken right back apart but I learned a lot messing with those ones too. I couldn't ever afford to pay someone to build them in the past for me nor do I really care to, I actually like the building it part, it's the best way to learn outside of a professional coach and welp i don't know any of those in racing.

I'm a stubborn anal s.o.b too, I like things a certain way and have learned in the past its best to do things yourself cuz they never turn out how you want them unless you do. Hell even after I do work on something for a friend or a customers deal I almost instantly see ways I can improve on it the next time around, guess that's how its goes.. I worked with a independent contractor last year on some cool project involving my work place, very smart guy owns his own (single employee) multimillion dollar a year profit company. He and I we're bull shitting one day an he said that no matter how advanced, perfect or nice of a job you do today, if you come back and look at the job a year later and don't see several ways to improve on it then you didn't learn shit in that year's times.

While I may have done a good amount of the wrenching on this car it is by far not a sole effort if I didn't have the group of guys from BADCOMPANY this thing would still be a shell. I've had help from lots of people on this and a proper thanks will be given the day the car is fired up. This things has more borrowed parts on it than it has parts I own lol, borrowed motor, trans, convertor, drive shaft, battery, steering wheel, fuel pump, fittings, lots of lil misc crap, etc... All I can say is I own a lot of guys some really big favors cuz without them this would have never happened.

Havent been on here much but still plugging away with the car. Got a new job which eats up all my time but it allowed for a new engine to get built this year. Had a borrowed SBC in the car last year and had a lot of problems with the engine, builder make some big mistakes that resulted in a ton of issues.. btw new motor is a BBF, EFI methanol deal with some turbos. Should be able to set it in the car the end of the month and start mockin up headers and supporting crap.

Few pics from last year having it out, 12 thou piston to wall clearance made for some really interesting crap happening with the tune-up, car would never repeat. Same tune would run clean one pass then the next it wouldn't seal up and would eat all the plugs. Had me stumped and some of the best tuners in the game, tore it down and found it wasn't sealing due to the piston to wall clearance.

Have not made much progress on the car have all the parts sitting waiting just need to finish the garage. Tore out all the old crappy wood paneling and gutted the electrical, used to have two 110v outlets in the whole garage on a shared circuit with living room in the house. This was a huge pia, couldn't run anything without blowing fuses, upgraded the panel in the house to breakers and a 200 amp service then put a 100 amp sub panel in the garage and re-wired it. Now it has two 20 amp runs of outlets, lights on its own circuit and significantly more lights, 220v for the compressor/welder and added a ceiling mounted heater. Wrapping up the dry wall work now and getting it back to being organized with the addition of some new cabinets and speed rail hangers < those thing are sweet.

I did upgrade the turbos for the car and ordered two S475's for it, should be enough compressor for about 2100 hp. If i out grow them this upcoming season i'll upgrade them to the 80's

Well the garage is 90% done. Need to paint about 5 feet of the strip on the walls around the doors and hang up the new heater. Have a 220v electric deal in there now and it works but takes too long for my liking to heat up the garage. Bought a 80k btu gas ceiling mount unit that I'l throw up shortly once I'm done wiring up the 33 ford.

Going to do the floors in the spring, didn't get to them in time to beat the cold.
