Allergies?

Why would you suffer through it? That makes no sense to me. I see an AWESOME allergy doctor in Novi, he hooked me up with some nasal spray (Rhinocort Aqua) and some eyedrops for itchy eyes (Zaditor) and I don't suffer one bit, I go about my life business as usual. I see him once a year, either spring or fall, and he gives me the prescriptions and I'm good to go.

If anyone is interested, this guy totally kicks ass. His name is Dr. Michael Rowe, and his office is at 10 mile and Meadowbrook in Novi. 248 473 6400 is his number, I have nothing but good to say about the guy. He is very knowledgable and professional, and honestly seems to care about helping you. If you see him, tell him Mike Johnson sent you. Oh, and by the way, your insurance (if you have it) covers this stuff.

I hate meds of any kind. I see them as a crutch. When I got hurt a while back my doctor gave me a script for a whole bottle of Vicodin ES (Extra Strength) for the terrible pain. I took 1 of them and I still have the entire bottle. I suffered through the pain. I hate drugs. I don't like not being in control. :dontknow:

I rarely take medicine, but allergy pills/spray arent going to take much out of your control.

No I know. I still see them as a crutch. You build tolerances for things when you don't rely on meds. :D

I agree, thats why I dont take tylenol or any of that crap. Allergies arent going to go away though, no matter what medicine you DONT take.

As i say this I am sitting here with a box of kleenex because I didnt take any meds today:lol:

So, by that logic, if you had cancer you wouldn't have chemo? If you just have the sniffles and want to be a whiny bitch then its one thing, but myself, for example, allergies completely paralyze me. My eyes water and burn so bad i cant see or wear my contacts, my nose gets plugged so bad I cant even blow through it, my sinuses fill and i get constant headaches, and i cant stop coughing because my sinuses try and drain but because my nose is clogged it backs up and runs down my throat. If I don't take my eyedrops I literally get blisters on my eyes, its gross as HELL. Without the allergy medication, I honestly cant function until the season is over. I feel like I'm more in control when I take it, because I can then go about my day and not worry about it.

Mike, I was using the same Rhinocort Aqua until my doctor sugested I try a generic brand. I got strep throte 2 times this season and I haven't had that for over 10 years. I blame the cheap azz meds they recomended for my sinus infection. As for pills I just use Sudafed, it works best for me.

Looks to me like you're the whiny bitch. Stop crying, sissy. :(

I'd rather be the smart whiny bitch who has enough common sense to know when to take medicine than the dumbass who doesnt take anything and thinks hes tougher because of it.
