I have a friend who works in FCA SRT powertrain. This is an Engineering Pro who's experience goes as deep as the factory Jaguar GTP cars, LeMans with Aston Martin, WRC, and a shit-ton of work with Pratt & Miller. BEFORE the SRT job. He's been there. Done that. The very first year Rawlings was brought to the Woodward cruise as part of the Dodge ad campaign, my buddy was there and introductions were made, etc.. Rawlings blew him off like he was some wanna-be fanboy. His arrogance was truly disturbing. Like on a clinical level. When Rawlings was asked to go to another site to make an appearance, he basically told them that it wasn't in his contract, and unless they were going to pay, he wasn't there to play.
I'm very happy for Aaron that he's going solo. I feel like his talent has made that show what it is, and I will bet you that it goes downhill quickly with him gone.
