'94 Firebird formula

I traded my '00 grand prix GTP for a '94 firebird formula w/ a t56 last fall and am loving it so far. the car was set up for auto-xing and i will be slowley turning it into my own. The car is mostly stock power wise other than an exhaust, Hooker super comp headers, and MSD ignition. Handling wise it's got a few more things done, Complete Sam Stranos suspension. Springs, sway bars, urathane, bilstien shocks. it's got a rather haggard 4 point roll bar. i'm slowly grabbing parts for it as i find stuff. no huge plans for the car this year other than to learn to drive it better and have some fun. the plan is to leave the LT1 in until it blows up or next winter, what ever comes first. at that time i'd like to do a 6.0 swap with H/C/I. this is my first F-body so it will be a learning experience for me!

Looks like a fun car! And  on the plate, although i don't think I could bring myself to tell the world i'm a douchebag lol

Ah the UBER rare 2004 Formula ;) BTW FREAKING LOVE THE PLATE!!!

Lol I'm an idiot. Maybe a mod can change that to '94 for me?

Thanks, it gets quite a few pics taken of it while I'm driving. I'm waiting for it to pop up on someone's Facebook one day.

Nice car! I think the LT1 Firebirds (not trans ams) are the best looking of all the F-bodies.

They just need an LS1 in them

Cool car though, the 6 speed versions are the best.

FIxed the title, it threw me for a loop too lol. Love those cars, LT14LFE

thanks! it will be nice to be able to bring this to the next BBQ and not a grand prix like last time lmao.

I'm not real crazy about front end. it reminds me of a Dirt Devil vacuum like my grandma had lol

VFN posted some photoshopped concept pics of a hood they where thinking about making, if they do i will be getting one for sure. i think it makes the front look a TON better.

i really want a LS. that will be my winter/spring project next year.

after 4 years driving an auto, it feels great to be back in a manual. the MGW shifter is an amazing piece to top it off.

The car looks great. The Formulas have always been my favorites of the 4th gen f-bodies. I owned two of them, a '94 and a '98. They stand out in a sea of camaros and mustangs. Nice to be different sometimes.

i ordered a hood today from VFN, hopefully it'll be here in a few weeks. they haven't released it yet so i'm hoping to get on of the first batch and not have to wait longer. pretty excited, i hate how flat the front end looks on the car.

I really dig vfn's products...
i wonder what all would be involved in front end swapping to 98+ front bumper... I personally cant stand the 98+ trans am front ends but the formula and v6 front ends were the money (with the two round marker lights)
then again that hood does make a world of diffrence...

Hmmmm.

I thought about looking into pulling the cover off and trying to dye it black again. I could always use an extra seat around the house lol.

Looks like either Quick86 or my roommate are going to pick up the sparco, which will help fund getting a quick release steering wheel setup since this kirkey makes getting in and out a bit difficult.

My hood shipped out yesterday! Once it gets here ill order vinyl to wrap it. I hate the color red so the car won't stay that color forever. There's no point it painting the hood red and having to change it in a couple years so I'm just going to use 3M CF vinyl to wrap it.

Also ordered a Schroth harness that should be here tomorrow so ill get that in ASAP. Subframe connectors and nitrous still waiting to be installed. Any guesses on what a light formula will do with a basically stock LT1 and a 100 shot with a 6spd? No sticky tires :(
