022013161837.jpgI bought a 92 mustang coupe off of craigslist a few days ago from a guy in Ohio. Nice solid car....many of you might have seen it up on Craigs....anyway. He offered to trailer the car up to me for a price...due to the weather, tires on the car, gear, etc. He dropped the car off in my driveway and I only got to take one ride in it and have put less than 5 miles on the car since I bought it......I was on the way to my friends shop to get it detailed when the oil pressure dropped to 0 and it started puking oil out of the oil pan. I am completly pissed off at this point and the guy is not willing to help...nor buy the car back. Anyway, I was stretching to buy the car in the first place...and if the car needs a rebuild I just dont have it right now. It might be as simple as putting a new oil pan gasket on it and crossing your fingers......but I just want to sell it the way it sits. I will have pics up either tomorrow or the next, as my friend is detailing it right now. Here are the specs:

92 Mustang Coupe
Red
Black interior
Auto car
3.73 gears
Chrome Ponies

Call me anytime if you want to talk about it or have any further questions. The car is located at my friends house in St. Clair MI

and again...i will get pics up tomorrow or the next

That's a bitch! Did you have anyone look at it and see the extent of the leak? Might be something simple like the dist. seal :dontknow:

Pull the distributor out. I'd be willing to bet it looks like a pretzel. 5.0's are infamous for the gears in the oil pump locking up. Had that happen many years ago while I was racing and didn't notice till I was unloading the car off the trailer.. Long story short oil pump and a heavy duty pump shaft fixed it! Raced the car with that engine for a couple of years in that car then street drove the engine in another car for a year or 2 after that fix.

So a mechanic came by the shop today.......the oil pan gasket is bad....and there is gas in the oil. He thinks that one of the injectors is leaking???? I am not really familar with this...nor as mechanicaly inclined as I would like to be. They are telling me to put new injectors in it....drain the oil...put a new oil pan gasket on it...and try it. I just would like to be out of the car I think....but if it doesnt sell... i guess i will try this.

Do yourself a favor. Leave it alone for a couple weeks, calm your nerves, and try fixing it. You may surprised.

X3 man let things calm down and wait for a day of decent weather grab a beer turn on some rock music or oldies and start wrenching.

How much gas? If you weren’t so far away I'd look at it for you, but I really think you should have someone else look at it.. leaking injectors do happen but either the car will run like complete ass or in the worst case stick open and hydro lock the engine.
Like everyone else has said step away for a bit and cool off!

not sure.....again....there is gas in the oil...not sure what that means. I should have pics up today.
That used to happen to my carbbed car all the time. Mine was caused by the mechanical fuel pump getting spun to hard the seals would let go could it be rings or valve guide seals?
