83 Capri RS Project

I bought this 83 Mercury Capri the day after Christmas 08.
The Day I brought it home, It needed a new Core Support and put back together. The front Clip is just held on by a couple bolts, The interior was complety stripped out of it, the carpet was only thing left in.

Core Support Installed

Interior installed but missing a couple parts. It's all coming back out to be color matchd to the new paint.

Front Clip installed to check fit before core suppor weld up and off to the body shop.

After a few days at the Body Shop,

Passenger fender

Drivers fender

Bumper cover

Starting on the Hood, the hood is totally stripped and ready to prime. More pictures tomorrow.

Thanks I am looking to have it done by Spring Break Out at Ubly, I think that is April 4th. So I have lots of work to do.LOL

What motor are you going to run

Im hoping I can locate a 5.0 HO Roller Motor, I have some Prototype Iron GT40P Heads that I aquired from a Saleen engineer that he claims will make more HP than the Aluminum Twisted Wedges. It currenty has a 85 Non Roller out of a Grand Marquis.

i have a 5.0 ho motor out of my car if u are looking it is a 1987 motor was fuel injected but changed it to carb ran strong as hell not sure on miles weiland intake not sure if i want to sell carb yet or not

All Im looking for the first year is something that I can throw these heads and Victor JR intake on so I really just need a good short block. Next winter the motor will come back out and get a total rebuild, I aquired a Dual Quad set up from my bro. So I will build it for that with a little stroke to it.

Yeah I had an 82 Cosworth back in the day,:gramps2: I bought it new and someone stole it from me 6 months after I bought it.
