4R70W or 4R75W....

for easy id, the 5.0 uses a 2 bolt starter. 4.6 uses 3 bolt starter.
4r75w uses a unique sun shell that is non ferrous, and a input sensor that picks up the speed of the input drum through the sun shell. unsure of the compatibility of a 4r75w vs a 4r70w. I'm sure you would not be able to swap the two out without changes.
both units have two output lengths, that vary about 3/4 to 1" and is not very noticeable to the naked eye.

I just put an 04 Marauder Trans into an 03, they are interchangeable, but you have to reprogram the Speed sensor...

the Truck Version 4r75 is suposed to be the Strongest, I have one in My coupe w/mod Motor, its 1 inch or so longer (need shorter driveshaft And diff yoke i think.

I also have a 4r70 in My 96 that was built by Lidos Trans guy, Held up Great...

I should have a Few Cores of Each if you dont find one...
