I'm surprised to hear so many classics stolen around the Dream Cruise this year. I suppose with so many nice cars and considering some of the surrounding areas drivers will park them I guess that can happen. I just heard the camaro Papa John paid big $$$ to get back was one of the victims. I've also heard of an old vette, a Buick, ans anice chevelle with truck/trailer too. That has to leave quite the crappy impression on the out of towners. I don't recall it being this bad in the past. Bummer.

I agree. What a horrible impression to add fuel to the fire for all the haters. I hope the 66 vette, the Papa John Camaro and the others surface.

All I have to say is fucking pathetic, asshole thieves are gonna ruin a momenumentary event. The one time we get to see unique, rare cars and people can't resist to thieve them. That 66 chevelle is one of my end of the road dream cars, I feel bad for the owner

Between the thieves, all the boring DD cars, and the cops harassing everyone I don't see the WWCD lasting much longer. Every year I hear more and more people saying they won't be back again. It's sad, it used to be a lot of fun.

How the hell did they steal the Papa johns car? It was on a super busy intersection.

I wish the cops focused more on the thieves than the jay walkers

He paid $250,000 for the camaro, it was his dad's....it was just on TV Thursday night.....

Was in a trailer on Jefferson. They stole the whole rig. Found the truck and trailer already, camaro gone

They did not steal the truck the unhooked the truck from the trailer and hooked it up to their truck and drove away its on camera, they showed it on the news,

What I dont understand we all know thieves are everywhere and people know that their are expensive cars from all of the world coming for the cruise, which in turn is going to bring some car thieves from all over the country looking for a car to steal, why they dont have them secured better, all of the cars stolen probably could have been prevented with better securing of their vehicles, Kill switches, unhooking batteries and GPS could have helped in all of these situations same as when there are big races in places thieves coming looking. When I take my stuff truck and trailer somewhere and I am leaving it, I have a kill switch, I pull the fuse for starting i also chain the wheels on the trailer, cant totally stop but basically I am sayong go take the guys down the way who just left his stuff sitting out.

The group from HEAT (Help Eliminate Auto Theft) was cruising the streets of Flint saying there were coming back into the area since they had Detroit under control. I guess they were wrong. Not a single car reported missing in Flint this weekend.

I'm still trying to figure out who in the hell would be dumb enough to park down on Jefferson in Detroit with that car.. almost sounds like an insurance job; did Papa Johns get sued recently?!

Honestly GTP they all sound questionable, you park a 66 vette in a parking structure in birmingham for 2 hours and its stolen and knowone saw anything, Hmmmmm

I'm sure its this bad every year....Maybe there weren't so many murders this weekend to report, so they switched to stolen cars...
