4.6 sohc superchargers

It is misleading though because a 4V will do more with a Vortech V2 blower than the 2V motor can...

Why? Cause its a Better motor!

Im not bashing the 2v motor. Im just saying, if your going to do a Buildup at least start with something that can Grow and evolve into something instead of something that hits a wall at a certain power level.

Wasnt the Livernios "Tweety" car one of the fastest most hp 2v Cars?
that car still around?

I never said the 4V wasn't a better motor, it's just pretty silly to say that building a 2V is a waste of time...not everyone needs 1000hp

Tweety car is still alive and kicking!!!

x2 on hittin the wall

When you start to build a modular and price out the differences of the 2v,3v,4v when you break it down the price difference really is not that much.

Its like spending 30,000 on a 30 foot boat when you can snag a 50 foot for 35,000  Not everyone needs 1,000 HP, but why not have the option to support it :893nana:

The question really is why spend 35K if you aren't gonna use the extra 20 feet

there is supposed to be a new 2v head or the romour goes being unvieled at PRI. At least thats what I hear round the way.

Trickflow showed a new 2 valve head at sema and it is said to flow 240/185 unported, it will also feature removable cam towers that can be replaced should one gets smoked.

Anyone questioning the power limits of a 2v needs to look up some information on Modular Powerhouse. They have several 2 valves into 900+ rwhp and even a couple 1000+.

wati for PRI. I do agree with you however.

edelbrock was supposed to do something 6 years ago but there "Wasnt a Market" for a 2v Head.

And why should there be? the 4v head kills the 2v head.
Even the new Factory 3v head is way better than a set of ported 2v SVO's

Ford pre05 SOHC= FAIL

They had it at Sema. That nice. I heard about it a few months back from my trickflow rep so It is nice the let the lid off the thing. They told me they were gonna wait till pri but SEMA is as good a place as any.

X2.....Modular Powerhouse has built some killer 2V motors.

I am a huge fan of 4V cars, but I have to admit, a built 2V with a KB will put down some NASTY numbers. In fact, the high hp 03-04 Cobra crowd (700+) are still trying to figure out how the 2V cars can make significantly more power than the 4V cars using the same blower no matter how much psi you throw at them.

There seems to be a peak of about 800hp using a twin screw and 03-04 Cobra heads. Yet the 2V guys are making well into the 900's......and I think over 1000 on a couple cars. Blower only in all scenario's (no nitrous).

It is like the 8th wonder of the world or some shit.

I've had it since I bought the car

:)

Just not on :(

He said for a additional $1900 I could have the polished SQ-V2 kit Only thing that was missing was the oil line and the bracket.

oil line is $25 and the bracket is $200.
what are you waiting for?

I'm with Stock GT...start by putting a solid foundation in the car. A 4V motor. Then anything you do from there on out puts you ahead of the game...especially against your 2v/3v buddies... :) unless you just want 4-500 horse power car to cruise around in...but it always starts there, doesnt it? If you arent horsepower addicts like most you might be able to live with it...but the first time a 4v lays a whooping on you youll be calling Lidio lol

If your car an automatic or stick? if its an auto 4V+Turbo=insanity..

Like either of us know anything about boosted 4v making anykind of power anyways...:dunno:

Yeah a freind of mine had his 94 built at alternative and its bad ass. This car I want to run good, but its a driver and I want to keep it to where I dont have to fix something every year. I have a older mustang (78) that I can go balls out on. Biggest problem there is the size of the engine compartment with that one. If I can get 12s out of the SOHC I'll probably stick with it for now.

I would prefer to have a completely forged bottom end so I can boost the shit out of it.

Then people are telling me I should pull the modular and go with a Big block :dunno:

I'm lost right now as of what I want to do.... I might be saying this next year:ls1:
