2013 Tigers Thread

I like our chances this year!! Being a Tigers, and a Packers fan, I'm gonna ease up on a few of you guys....;)
Seriously though, I think it's gonna be a great year to be a Tigers fan.....

Surprised your not a Cleveland fan Mr. Buckeye... Or are you one of those people that only cheer for good teams?
I agree we are going to have a VERY strong team this year, Cleveland spent big this off season, but the Central is ours to lose for sure.

Ah makes sense, I shoulda figured that out.
Braun actually had a urine sample test positive for an elevated level of something steroid related, but got it dismissed on some technicality relating to how his "sample was handled" by the testing company. I don't think improper handling would cause something to just show up in there, but I'm no expert either on steroids and all that.

I was referring to the more recent allegations. Braun's sample tested positive for elevated levels of synthetic testosterone. Then he was like, "BS, test me again," and passed, and got his suspension overturned because of the technicality. Then, under scrutiny from the rest of the league, went out and outperformed his MVP season.

Nice, it would be fun to see a couple games down there in Lakeland, but I'd rather be up here to go to Comerica ultimately I suppose.

I had season tickets for two years at Comerica Park. Going to games there would definitely be better. But I try to get tickets for the three to four games in St. Pete when they play Tampa Bay. I'd make the road trip to see them in Atlanta or Miami if the played the NL East teams.

I personally think Braun's a juicer. No said it wasn't his sample. Just because it was in some guys fridge for the weekend doesn't make the sample invalide. From everything I heard, the sample wasn't tampered with. There was just a delay in sending it. He got off on a technicality. Just my opinion.

Nope....Never could stand the Indians. I've been a Tiger's fan since I was a kid. Grew up listening to George Kell and Ernie call the games on a transistor radio. Hell, I remember running home from school to see how the Tiger's were doing in the '68 WS. As for the Packer's bandwagoneers, I've been a fan since before watching the Ice Bowl, through some damn lean years, and have enjoyed their resurgence of late. I like the "Mr. Buckeye" tag though. Maybe a mod could insert it below my screename.

Yeah my thoughts exactly as well, he was a juicer. Of course he passed his "make up" test lol

Yeah, I don't think anybody outside of Brewers fans think he's clean lol

Yeah probably not, they lost Prince then found out their other stud was a juicer, they're in denial lol
I'm sure he's clean now, but I bet he was shitting his pants when he had to give that first sample that was allegedly "mishandled"

Yeah Mr. Buckeye would be nice for you. That's good that your not a band-wagoner.
I hate people who are like "my teams are the Yankees, Raven's, Duke, Red Wings, and the Heat", lol how convenient and douchey.

My long time teams since I was a young kid are the Pistons, Tigers, Steelers, Michigan, and I'm a casual Wings fan I suppose also. Pretty much grew up cheering for all my dads teams, his whole family is from northwest PA hence the Steelers, other than that we keep it local. My mom's family are all Lions fans, poor bastards. I'm glad I wasn't raised as a Penn State fan also lol

Yeah I rarely ever watch NL baseball before the Postseason unless its Tigers interleague games. I'm sure you would love to hit up Comerica, but you can't really do shit about that I suppose. I can't wait to get down there, first row upper infield box here I come! I love those seats, good prices and a great view of the whole field. Better than the club seats IMO if you get in the front row, I hate looking through the glass in the club seats.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, good ol' J Honny's name is attached to that same clinic down there in Florida, you think he was juicing for that postseason run last year? He suddenly started doing everything he couldn't do all season, I wouldn't be shocked if he was juicing for the playoffs last year lol

I got to watch a little batting practice and PFP. I love seeing all the green grass...

Nice. I'm just patiently waiting for Opening Day... Can't wait to get back down to Comerica. For now I'm all about MLB Network's here and there Tigers coverage and the occasional interesting article I come across.

I've been watching MLB too. I need to get my tics in St. Pete for the tigers series. I might get to see them in April at CoPa.

Yeah man I love the MLB Network, they always have good coverage and breakdowns.
Man wouldn't it be sick to catch a Verlander Price matchup if you were lucky? That would be awesome. April would be a good time to see a couple games up here, tickets will be cheaper on Stub Hub and probably a lot available also, people are so pussy about a little cold weather sometimes when it comes to baseball games.

I still miss the old ballpark at Michigan and Trumbull. What I wouldn't give for one more obstructed view seat. Comerica is nice, but lacks the ambiance of Tiger Stadium.

Yeah it was a classic ballpark indeed man. I remember running the bases after a game there on "kids run the bases night", and all that pale blue paint inside the park, sitting in the first row of the overhang in right... Great memories. Sat down in the Tigers Den on the 3rd base side for a couple games in the late 90's before Comerica opened, those were my last games at Tiger Stadium.

As much as I miss Tiger Stadium, I equally love Comerica Park. Great views from all over the park and it has that modern feel and design of today's newer ballparks even though its already pretty much 13 years old. I love the way the park opens up beyond the outfield walls and how its nestled right in with the downtown buildings.

I wish the Tigers Braves game was televised today... Nothin else worthwhile to put on FSD at this time of day, Wings replay from last night? I could do without that for sure. That's all I've got to say for now Tigers related.
