2013 College Football Megathread

This show made me smile from ear to ear. All hail Bert Smith...

And yes, I believe the vote was payback for UM's vote to keep MSU out of the B1G. Fuck Michigan...

From 72-74, Um was 30-2-1. Both losses and the tie were to OSU. The rivalry we enjoy today predates all of us. Bo beating OSU in '69 set the tone for the next five decades. Records notwithstanding, this years game will surely be another one for the ages. Having witnessed Touchdown Timmy's performance in person, there's absolutely no overconfidence on my part. Let the pre-GAME jitters begin....;)

I just watched that. Figures sparty was jealous of um.

Can you imagine going 30-2-1, and not going to even one bowl game? That's an injustice for sure....They also said that through '74, Big 10 teams went to 31~ bowl games, and since '75, have been to 212. That's all due to the outcry after the "vote"....That said, can you imagine what Woody have done had UM got voted to go to the Rose Bowl back then? Trust me here, Woody was way more volatile than Bo.

how about being the only team to go undefeated and finishing 3rd in the NC rankings to teams who tied each other

Man Bama played like complete shit tonight, I think they were looking forward to Auburn, and forgot how to hold the ball

Nice work, Ole Miss. Not rated in a human poll and still cracked the BCS top 25. That's impressive. I'm not sure I've ever seen that. I'm not claiming that I've ever given it a huge amount of attention, it has probably happened before, I've just never noticed.
