2013 College Football Megathread

Vegas is giving Georgia State 55 last I checked...I might take that with the points. Hell if Bama goes up 60-0 and then puts their 8th string in, and Georgia State scores ONCE, I cover.

Hey, if they are afraid to play MSU in East Lansing, I'm sure they're worried about GSU...

Michigan State 26, Iowa 14

A great game by the defense and the type of play from the offense that they need. It looks like the receivers are coming around. Bring on Indiana...

Michigan finally pulled their heads out of their asses. I think the line changes made the difference, though Minn isn't exactly the test you bank on.

MSU still wouldn't exist if it wasn't for their defense.

OSU looked weak at times NW looked scary good at times.

MSU still has the #1 defense in all the land...

Yeah ND proved that. This guy.

I certainly feel better about michigan now than I have the last 3 weeks. I hope the days of poor effort are over this season. I really just think they didn't "get up" for Akron and Uconn.

I think we'll lose to OSU and NW from here on out.

You really are delusional aren't you? You would have to effectively win out the rest of the season to get to Indy. I'll bet you that you don't get to Indy.

As the receivers go, so goes the offense. The Magic Number is 20 (scored). Who on MSU's remaining schedule has a defense. Dantonio cost MSU the Notre Dame game. They'll be 7-1 when they play MI. 7-1 in B1G play gets them to Indy.

I'm reasonably convinced after beating Illinois as handily as they did that Nebraska is better when Martinez plays sideline backer. Hopefully his turf toe doesn't get better and Tommy Armstrong keeps starting. With Armstrong I don't cringe every time the ball goes in the air. He can hit receivers in stride. Martinez has looked impressive at times but many of his throws and decisions have never been good. We all know those plays where a wide open guy is under thrown against a bad team and was wide open so it didn't matter. Martinez is great at that. Tommy Armstrong actually makes those throws appropriately.

Plus, what is better than a QB named Armstrong? Seriously, awesome.

Don Treadwell, the former OC of MSU, was fired today as Head Coach of Miami (OH) after starting 0-5. Hopefully he'll be back at MSU in '14.
