2013 College Football Megathread

Ohio LOL...We need to be worried about Indiana and Minny coming up.....

You guys have never heard me pop off about UM before "The Game".....Remember, I lived through the Cooper era....:shake:

No way. He's going to have a ton of wiggle room. He's a Michigan man. He does things the right way. He focus's on the kids and making sure they do the right things. He understands the Michigan tradition. Basically he's not a piece of shit like that guy in Ohio.

He'll have a lot longer leash than Rich Rod.

He got a lot of hype last year playing Rrod's recruits, and team in general. Eventually, results will count. Urban gets 2 or 3 in a row, and he'll be out. Just like in C-bus....Lose The Game, get ready for your walking papers.

Well, the MSU and Alabama home & home series has been cancelled. They were using the uncertainty of the SEC schedule as an excuse. I'm sure they'll keep South East Alabama State on their schedule though. Chicken shits...

meh, I'm fine with it. Saves us a bit of humiliation in front of a national TV audience.

I disagree. The Big 10 needs to stop playing fluffers all the way into October. 1-2 games against the MAC, then 10 decent games. If they want to be taken seriously as a conference, I see no other way. If ND wants to play in the ACC, then get some SEC opponents. Doesn't have to be Alabama.

I always thought playing Kentucky, Tennessee or South Carolina, in most years, would be good for the schedule. More ACC, SEC and Big 12 would make the schedules interesting. I understand A MAC school, but I don't get THREE MAC schools.

I like the idea of helping the smaller schools near the B1G schools, but not for the sake of inflating their schedules come the end of the year. Hell, you need 3 wins out of 9 in your conference to be bowl eligible. That's ridiculous. Even as the conference grows, why not just play more in-conference games?

USC is coachless. Wonder who they bring in.

UM dropped one spot. Kind of expected considering they didn't play. ND out of the top 25 and now everyone is talking if they can even make it into a bowl game. Not sure that's going to be the case. OSU looks good on Offense. Their Defense was already shaky and now they are down one of their best tacklers if not the best. Could prove troublesome once they come against more competition.

I bet the o$u fans will take over the the Northwestern Ryan Field and gameday this weekend.

I don't know. it's a small stadium. A few years back I went to the Michigan game there and there were more UM fans than NW. Then again, NW sucked. There isn't a lot of room for people, so if NW sells their allotment of tickets to NW fans it'll be hard for OSU to make a showing.

Kiffin got a raw deal. 56 scholarship players won't keep you competitive forever. Kiffin is a love or hate coach, but USC won't have 85 scholarships until 2016 or 2017.

HAHA, last week was a lock for ND in a BCS game, this week they aren't going to make a bowl. Stupid media.

UT over ISU
UCLA over Utah
MSU over Iowa
MI over MINN
NW over OSU
Georgia State over Alabama
FSU over Maryland
Stanford over Washington

Vegas is giving Georgia State 55 last I checked...I might take that with the points. Hell if Bama goes up 60-0 and then puts their 8th string in, and Georgia State scores ONCE, I cover.

I really think Maryland is going to beat FSU. I don't understand how anyone making rankings can look at Maryland's results and compare the results of the teams they have beaten with others like Oklahoma and Michigan that have played some of the same teams and rank Maryland below either of those teams. I think Maryland will win that and I hope that it gets them some recognition and they make a big leap in the polls that I think will be well deserved.

I'm prepared to be wrong on this prediction though too  If ESPN college pick em has taught me anything, it is that I'm terrible at picking college football games.
