2013 College Football Megathread

The refs in the MSU/ND game were from the Big Ten. Dantonio came as close as he could without getting fined when he commented on the refs. The pass that was intercepted was called by Dantonio. Getting four to five yards a carry wasn't enough. It was also his decision to put a cold QB in on the last drive. I like Dantonio, but this loss is on him. The interception led directly to the last ND touchdown.

The way UM, MSU and Nebraska has played, it looks like Northwestern is the true team to beat in the Legends.

The baffling thing is that Michigan showed up when it needed to. Why they just can't be consistent is beyond me. Homecoming in 2 weeks again Minn, then our first B1G test against PSU (though apparently we like to play down to our competition ... Lloyd Carr anyone?). If we don't get the turnovers and Penalties under control, we will end up with 4 loses.

Not surprising. I still think we're a 20 - 15 ranked team. If we pull it together we'll end up in a BCS game.

they have a lot of issues...

The line and Gardners passing. Not sure why for 5 games last season and 2 this he was amazing and all of the sudden he's fallen apart. Anyone check if a girl broke up with him?

3 new starters on the O-line is hurting the team, they should get better.

yeah...you can tell too. They cant stop a pass rush, cant move anyone off the ball...and Devon looks really rattled unless he is running. Weird too because he looked great against ND (except for his dumbass play at the end) but since then he has really been horrible in his passing game.

If the OL and Gardner don't get things in order, 6-6 would be a possible record.

He's never been "amazing". He's had an INT in every single one of his starts.

The offensive line is terrible. It's much to blame for his woes.

I started going through and making a weekly team ranking last season, just so I had a good idea of where I really felt teams should be ranked instead of the, there's no way XXX team (example Boise State) should be ranked (that high). I started last week, based on a couple of teams' positions in the rankings. Based on my football watching and combing through results, I would agree that Michigan belongs at about 20th. There are a lot of "good" teams with some REALLY ugly wins this year.

I can't for the life of me explain why Maryland isn't ranked in the actual polls though.

U of M and ND do not deserve to be ranked. Gardner has a lot of learning to do, and ND has played mediocre at best. Big Ten is looking weak this year, which sucks. Other than OSU, I don't think anyone will make it to a BCS game. Michigan playing in the BCS? Doubtful at best. It would take some colossal failures of several others to make that fly.

unless the B1G completely falls apart, we'll get a 2nd BCS bowl

Guess that would about end Brady's honeymoon. Especially if one of those losses were to "Ohio".

No way. He's going to have a ton of wiggle room. He's a Michigan man. He does things the right way. He focus's on the kids and making sure they do the right things. He understands the Michigan tradition. Basically he's not a piece of shit like that guy in Ohio.

He'll have a lot longer leash than Rich Rod.

I agree that ND shouldn't be ranked, are they?

I wouldn't over look Northwestern. Oh, wait, the team that loses the B1G Championship game won't end up in the #2 bowl, forgot about that. Ok, Michigan has a chance.
