2013 College Basketball Thread

I just looked up the box score... Victor Oladipo, what a stud. 19 points, 9 boards, 5 steals, 1 blocked shot. 4 for 4 from the line and 63% from the field. That's BEAST.

That was a pretty good game. But goddamn, how many shots outside the line did they blow? They kept trying, and kept missing. Frustrating.

Yeah that wasn't good for you guys. Payne was like the only one who could hit one. MSU went 4 for 15 (26%) Indiana was 8 for 18 (44%)

They have one bad game and now they are a fraud. I guess that means that MSU's loss to Miami makes MSU a fraud. And that Michigan's blow out loss to MSU makes Michigan a fraud...

Miami hasn't played anyone worthy other than one or two teams. They just lost to wake forest.

Look at their schedule. They've beaten 2 ranked teams. MSU and NCST. Yes, they took down Duke, but that was without Duke's number one player. Their loses are to #12 Arizona (Played 2 ranked teams and won both, then lost to 4 unranked) Indiana State (let's be honest, they suck in a conference that sucks), and Wake (lost to pretty much everyone). They got 'credit' for winning in the ACC, but let's be honest on this one, with the exception of Duke, the ACC isn't exactly screaming with talent or tough teams. If Miami were in the B1G they would be competing with Nebraska, NW, and PSU for the bottom of the pile. I don't disagree that they are ranking worthy, but the national championship claims and the sort are just proven as fraudulent.

They were bound to lose. Their last two games they barely won against some weak teams. Although I would have wanted to see them go down in Cameron next Saturday :)

I would say Miami would be in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten, ACC is a weak conference as a whole. I'm not ready to call them a total fraud, but they are feasting on a weak conference to pad their record that's for sure.

Any predictions for this MSU OSU game this afternoon? I'm thinkin OSU wins by 4 today at home.

Michigan is off to a great start in the 2nd half, pushing the ball in transition, one of the keys to our offense in my opinion. When we get stops and turnovers and get out in transition our offense thrives. We can take full advantage of our athleticism by pushing the pace, I like it.

Buckeyes 68-60.......What a crazy season. Seems like nobody's got a lock on anything......

I've been saying for a couple weeks now that the Big Ten title could end up being split by a few 4 loss teams. Michigan played their toughest stretch, now its time for MSU and Indiana to play theirs, we'll see how they both do. So far MSU isn't doing well in theirs.
If Indiana loses at Minnesota on Tuesday I will say its wide open, but so far they have the upper hand for sure on the Big Ten title. I really don't think the Buckeyes aren't really in it though at this point in my opinion, they have 5 conference losses and I think the winner will finish with no more than 4. Michigan will need to run the table to have a chance.
