Agreed. They've come a long way, today showed that. It was a very exciting game, sadly one team had to lose........but, the truth is, having been a Packer fan since the 60's.....well.....you understand....
Honestly, I'd much rather see Detroit do well, than the hated Bears or Vikings. With GB's defense playing poorly of late, I doubt they'll go very far anyway....

From 0-16, I look at progress. And they have made progress every year. NOW it will be harder. No one will take them for granted (though I doubt anyone has since the first 5 games). The Lions still have areas to improve (OL & DB kind of stand out).
The Detroit area at this time has two teams that can compete for a championship. The Red Wings and Tigers. The Lions are at least being talked about for the first time since 1991.

Why would anyone be happy if they got blown out? People should be happy to have a good team. The Lions were the worst franchise of all time for whole last decade. Now they are back, in the playoffs and have a roster full of up and coming players.
If you're only happy when the team wins a title, that's pretty close to the definition of a fairweather fan. I've had Pistons season tickets since 2000. We sucked that year. The ride up from the bottom to the title is the best thing in all of sports, and there are tons of cities that never get to experience it period. The Lions have been awful for years. I'm glad they are in the playoffs no matter what happens. If you don't do almost made it, you've been pissed your whole life at the Lions? Why watch then? I didn't sit through dozens of sunday ass beatings just so I could complain the year they made the playoffs before they even start. Every step close to the top is a positive one.

Total of 9 interceptions against the Packers his last 3 games. Couldn't even beat the Packers when they were taking it easy.
Don't forget for as good as Green Bay is, they have the second worst pass defense in the league! Their run defense isn't anything special either.

Um, yeah. Score 41 points on the Packers and it's Stafford's fault. That makes sense.
The NFL and it's refs have it out for the Lions. They got fucked out of some points today but the Packers ran all over their defense so it didn't matter. What do you expect against one of the best passing teams in the league (even if they don't have their starting QB...).
They also kept fucking themselves with stupid, stupid penalties again and again. They should fire their special teams coach. They give up too much yardage on punts and almost always get penalties both receiving and kicking.
Anyway, 10-6 is better than what a lot of people thought they would do (pretty sure I put them at 11-5?), most importantly they really only lost to the 'good' teams, except for the weak showing against the Bears.
Contrary to what some crazy people think, Matt Stafford proved he is no Joe Montana, but he did make it through the year without missing any games due to injury and managed to start a fight with Chicago which was pretty cool.

Definitely got scrwed today, but even if they didn't get screwed, the other team's back up QB still set franchise single game records against the Lions starting D.
