2011 LOLions predictions

So would I, I just listed them as people I could see an argument for. Remember how bad people trash(ed) Manning? Rivers? It's not easy to get credit as a QB in the league. I wouldn't want anything to do with Vick or Cutler either. Vick goes out and all the sudden the Eagles beat a decent team.

Stafford has alot of upside too. It seems like he's been around forever but that's only because we've had such an endless parade of shitty short term QBs here. If he makes it the season, this will be his first full NFL gig and I think he's played pretty damn well on a pretty good team. They won't win the Super Bowl, but rather than complain about that, I'll just enjoy a team that might actually finish with more wins than losses in over a decade.

If people are loopy about Stafford throwing a couple interceptions, they'd go batshit crazy when Romo gets on one of his streaks or decides with the game on the line he forgot which color jersey his team wears. And it will happen eventually. I think Romo is better than people give him credit for but I'd definitely take Stafford any day of the week at this point.

It's the NFL, top teams are an injury away from being bottom teams. It's a league full of parody. The difference between good teams and bad teams on the field really isn't huge. And closing out games is part of what makes a good team good. Carolina has been up big on lots of teams this year only to lose the game. They're a decent team but just don't know how to close out games. I'd rather have the Lions that get off to slow starts and come back in the second half and win. Stop trying to find faults and just enjoy having a good, winning team.

:werd: They won 2 games out of 32 in 08 and 09.... Now they are 7-3 and morons are still complaining?

They currently have a better record than EVERY team that has won the Superbowl in the past 10 years except the Packers.
 
I really want to say Detroit will only lose the Green Bay games and the Saints game, and win the rest of the games that are left this year.

I would not be surprised, however, if any of the following happen:

Win the first game against GB
Beat the Saints (they lost to the Rams and the Bucs)
Lose to the Chargers
 
The last time the Packers started 10-0 was 1962. And they played the Lions on Thanksgiving...
