He definitely did. Pettigrew was turning his head as the ball hit his hands and Woodson just said thank you and grabbed it.
 
Lost a lot of respect for Suh. I thought he was just playing with a lot of heart and was misunderstood. Now I just think he's a dirty thug. He should go play in the NBA.
 
Im confused. The first 4-5 games, Pettigrew was playing great. Since then, Stafford has rarely thrown the ball to him. If you have a TE that is pretty decent, why not use him? Instead they go for these long passes to Calvin, which he doesnt always catch. Hell, Calvin hasnt really been playing that well the past few games. I feel like the lions are going to go straight downhill like the did a couple of seasons ago. We were hopeful for a Playoff spot, but the wildcard is slowly slipping away with every loss.
 
The second half of the schedule is definitely tougher. I'm sure most DCs have seen the same thing you did and defend against it. Scheffler is doing OK when he's in at TE. The throws to Calvin suck because he's usually double and triple teamed. This should leave the other guys open (if they hold onto the ball). Defenses are daring the Lions to run and have 5 & 6 guys in the secondary. When Best was in the game, they had to account for him. Without Best, the Lions pass more often.

it seems that lately Calvin is the one who cant hold onto the ball! yes he is an amzing player, but lately it hasnt been showing. Burleson is doing great, very few dropped passes. Stafford is just not consistent game to game. Look at tbe Panthers game, he went 28 of 36 with 2 INT. and 5 touchdown passes. They arent playing consistently enough to win the tough games. Im sure once Staffords hand heals , it will be like his first half of the season, meaning, less interceptions and more touchdown passes. at least i hope...

And of course Stafford will start all his plays in the shotgun position......
 
The dumb penalties on the team killed them all game, besides that didn't look awful against a strong team. I predicted they would win nine games and this was not one of them. Didn't seem as if suh was missed all that much, and I wish smith would stay healthy for more then a game at a time.

I agree. There was one play in particular in the first half where a Saints receiver was left virtually wide open and caught something like a 20-30 yard pass from Brees, then ran in for the score. The Lions defender basically watched him run in...didn't make a move on the ball, and didn't even attempt to shove him out of bounds or make an open-field tackle. Just ran along with him until he scored. It was really pathetic to watch.
