They beat Nebraska and Notre Dame. Now who did those schools beat this year?

And MSU lost IN South Bend and Lincoln. You go on dreaming if you don't think where they play makes a difference. But it's OK. MSU gets that home cooking next year. Boise State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Nebraska and Iowa all at home. We play Wisconsin in Madison (without a QB or RB Ball) and Michigan in Ann Arbor (in this game it makes no difference where they play, it'll be 5 in a row). Who did UM lose to? Iowa, who MSU beat by 16 points, and.....wait for it.....wait...Michigan State. Imagine that. And the game wasn't as close as the 28-14 score. Keep dreaming Mike...

Hmmmm, 10 months to decide where I want you to buy me dinner...

hard to get to a BCS bid when you get pimped by the BCS for losing an extra (championship) game.

You know, if there was no Big 10 champ game and MSU got leap frogged I'd understand your frustration. But they didn't. They had their chance to beat a team they had already beat once in the season and they choked. Does that really deserve a BCS game? I don't think so, and neither did the bowl selection committee.

Butt hurt fartan.

When's the last time Michigan State went to a BCS bowl? Last time they won a BCS bowl? Oh, that's right. Never.

I'll be happy to wait until we EARN our way, not back into it. But if you think beating Virginia Tech in the mess that was on last night meant 'MICHIGAN'S BACK!', you keep dreaming. All that game did was line the pockets of the rest of the B1G. With UM's best two players graduating and the loss of the 'easy' schedule, enjoy your Gator or Insight Bowl.

so the top two teams in the BIG 10 conference (MSU & WISC) play, MSU loses and already that makes UofM a better choice for the BCS selection committee.......why not skip the entire season, not bother with strength of schedule and just select the teams that travel well and get it over with.

I agree, MSU controlled their destiny in the BIG 10 Champ game.....but to loss BCS ranking position because you lose in a conference champsionship game makes no sense. Why would UofM who had more regular season conference losses be ranked higher? Is it because their overall schedule was the same......maybe.

I'm excited for next year.....it should be fun.

Nope. As mentioned, I'll wait to EARN our trip, not back in because the sponsor went to the school. I'll take our chances in Indy to play for the Rose Bowl. As mentioned, Georgia would have beaten either team last night. That game was ugly. keep dreaming...

Keep crying about it. I love it. Fartan tears taste like sugar.

Whaaa we LOST and we didn't go to a BCS game, whaaaa all championship losing teams should go to a BCS game. Could you imagine if the rolls were reversed? You'd be banging the drum for MSU to jump Michigan, to say you wouldn't would be a lie.

You had your chance, MSU choked, too bad so sad sparty.

On a slightly related note... I sincerely congratulate and respect Beamer and the VT program for having the balls to go with a 3rd string kicker because the other two had problems (arrested and violating curfew). We all know Michigan State would have waited until after the game before they did anything. Hell, they would have picked up the arrested kicker from jail and had him change into uniform in the police station lobby.

This is the system we have. After seeing this play out in the SEC and the Big 12, it was expected. Neither MSU or Wisconsin were ranked high enough to still be #14 or higher after a loss. The second best game goes to the third best team. You can debate whether Michigan (or VT) earned a BSC bid over Boise State, Kansas State or another team, or if they got that bid to keep a sponsor happy. Chit happens. After the Bowl fiascos over the last couple of years, I don't know that the B1G gets two teams next year.

Your such a d-bag, obviously proud of your free hand outs because we all know know U of M couldn't beat State at any point in this season - so enjoy your second rate team ;)

Frank Beamer runs one of the best programs in the NCAA. Great coach.

Most U of M homos do love sugar and free hand outs, because they obviously can't earn it.... consider it a gift from VT and the officials

not to sound sour grapes, but there's been an unbelieve amount of um nut-hugging going on this year. from the media gushing on and on, to being questionably pushed up into a bcs game.....i dunno... anyone else find this odd.......:dunno:.......

Two days after the Fartans play a great game and beat a very good Georgia team all they can do is whine about Michigan. And you guys wonder why you're called 'little brother'.

Its Michigan, same thing would/will happen with any big name program.

Uh oh, another butt hurt fartan. We're going to need a bigger box of tampons for this thread.

Free hand outs? Please, enlighten all of us to these "free hand outs". I want more fartan tears today.

when was I crying......????

I never said all champsionship loosing teams should go to a BCS......just was surprised that a team that ended up 3rd or 4th in their conference got a BCS bid? The logic is flawed.

not that it matters but here is my .02 I am a Michigan fan and I can say that I'm proud that the defense won the game for us. I don't believe we are a BCS caliber team and yes we got lucky and IMO so did VaTech for being in the game to begin with. I do, however, find it obsurd to think that the ref's handed us the game in any way. The play was ruled a TD on the field and then the booth upstairs found INDISPUTABLE evidence that reversed the play, end of story. Stop whining spartan fans, I cheered you on just days ago to a similar victory.

The complaint is that there were more 'deserving' teams that were not invited. This was not just Michigan but Virginia Tech as well. The play during the game yesterday, on both sides of the ball, was just a joke. And when you find that this was just a gesture to make their sponsor happy, it really is a joke. Is Michigan the third best team in the B1G this year? Yes. Is Michigan back? We'll find out after the Alabama game next September.
