Carr announced his retirement after the 2007 regular season. (mid Nov) He remained the head coach until after the bowl game. Dick Wad was hired (darkest day in Michigan history) mid December and was announced as Michigan's next head coach effective Jan 2nd after Carr's last game. He was technically a Michigan employee under contract, basically just didn't start his job until the day after the bowl game.

I can't remember what happened the next three years.... and then we hired Hoke and it's been 382 since the cheaters down south have beat Michigan in football. The End. :)

Yah and a majority of his recruits got UM into a BCS bowl...

Please show me? I remember talking shit before 2010, but I had no reason not to. Who would thought GG would have sucked so bad.

This year? You talked shit. Not nearly as bad as last year, but you were raving about Texas passing UM in wins etc...

I said that back when Michigan was still having loosing seasons and Texas was on the 10 wins a year streak, so proir to 2010 season. If I mentioned it this year it was prolly as a joke.

Junior "Big Play" Hemingway, Mike Cox, Darryl Stonum, Kenny Demens, Troy Woolfolk. What do all 5 of these impact players all have in common? They're Lloyd Carr recruits.

RRod was a great recruiter, offensively. Defensively his schemes, recruiting, and play calling was atrocious. You don't win games with good recruiting on one side of the ball. ( See 2008, 2009, 2010 record)

Coaching these kids to their full potential and putting them in a position to make the most of their talent put us in a BCS bowl game. Not RRod's recruiting.

I agree with RRod D, no one will argue it sucked. but thats not a hard fix, go to the SEC and steal one of their D corrdinators, problem solved.

I honestly think using RRods offense this year Michigan would be alot better, and I would almost venture to say they would deserve a BCS bowl.

Our schedule next year makes the one you Spartys had this year look like a cake walk. If we end up 8-4...I will be happy. Steak dinner on U of M beating Sparty next year?

Sure, remind me the week of the game, and as long as Maxwell isn't hurt, I'm game.

So Justin, who did the recruiting J.T. Floyd and Taylor Hill, two players Rich Rod was recruiting at West Virginia. He hired coaches and recruited (per the waiver).

Can someone remind Justin that Mike Martin and Ryan Van Bergen were also Rich Rod's recruits. As for Stonum, are you saying that he's a legacy recruit? Still has one more year...

Are you fucking stupid or something? Did you ride the short bus? Ryan Van Bergen is a 5th year senior! He was red shirted by Lloyd Carr! Dumbass
Mike Martin committed in the summer of 2007 almost 6 months before Richrod even took over. How about you just shut the fuck up about Michigan football or recruiting cause you obviously don't know enough about either to be talking about it.

I am not putting any stipulations on my team...why are you on yours? Scared? If Denard is hurt, I won't back out.

I don't even pick my drivers for my NASCAR pool until after the final practice the Saturday before the Daytona 500. I'll wait until the week of the game. And no. I'm not scared of Michigan. But there is a lot of time between here & now and October 20th. A fool makes that bet now. Take that how you want.

I mmight have been wrong about Van Bergen, but if Martin came in with the class of 2008, he's Rich's boy. He could have left and didn't. RichRod could have take the scholarship away (like the SEC) and didn't. That's Rich's first class. Oh, and suck my hairy, nonmanscaped balls. Both of them.

 I couldn't have said it better myself.

Actually, I wouldn't have even wasted my time to reply to that fucktard. He's so clueless.

Now if only I would take the time to dig up all the posts from Swift. Essentially, the progression was this.

1. Ohio shown to be stupid. Swift response: nothing will happen. It's like MIchigan, only not nearly as bad as practicing a little extra. If only we could all be as holy and righteous as the players at MSU. Ignore facts about... well, everything.
2. Ohio shown to probably be in more trouble than originally anticipated. Swift response: Deny that JT would ever get fired or leave Ohio. Preach about Rich Rod and the cheaters at UM. Ignore all facts about... well everything.
3. Ohio shown to be in even more trouble when more players are found to be taking money etc... Swift response: Advise Hangem that Ohio may be in trouble, but nothing as serious as all of the suspensions and lost scholarships that the evil cheaters at U of M got. Praise MSU for having good clean players and a coach who has high moral standards. Ignore all facts about... well everything.
4. Ohio goes in front of board, Tressel fired. Swift Response: Ignore all facts about... well everything and focus on how MSU has dominated the series between UM and MSU... for the last 3 years. Make claim that OSU will not get bowl ban and may lose a scholarship if the NCAA is being a meanie head. This is obviously because UM cheated by practicing so much. We should all aspire to be good clean wholesome players like MSU has. Again ignore all facts about... well everything.
5. Verdict in. Pretty much everything Swift has said over the last 8 months has been proven to be.... well completely wrong.

This is way too funny. What investigation? The NCAA? That's not criminal. Unlike Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, Tressell never lied to investigators. He was never asked about certain things, and I don't know how obligated the NCAA will feel he'll need to be.

I could see losing a total of 6 scholarships over 3 years and that would be the end of it. Last year won't be vacated, they won't be kept out of a bowl game...

Here's a start...
