Money. Lack of a job at the time. Not a good enough reason? Oh, ok.

just busting your balls a little relax :) Not so much on your reasons for not going, but more about your extremely descriptive rebuttle explanations  :icon_mrgr

Ryan, regardless of the poll outcome, I think people can/will do what they want anyway. We don't all have to do one thing or another. Not sure if that is what you meant by the poll or not, maybe just wanted to get an idea? Anyhow, I have a feeling that when people realize its going to cost ~$500-600 for 4 nights they will quickly change there tune when the time comes.

I think this year what we should do is discuss the options early (like we are doing now) and give people a chance to think about it, and put themselves in a position to reserve spots/rooms on there own when the time comes. For those that decide to camp, by the day that registrations starts we should already know what sites we want and everyone can reserve there own that day as soon as possible.

Yea, I set this up wrong. i wanted to get an idea of who was coming and where they wanted to stay so that we could get things as soon as they come up. KOA is open for registration for next year already, so we might be hurting our options by waiting another 6 months.

I've been to the st ignace KOA, but it had to be at least 10 years ago. Having Glens down the street was very convienient, however I think that the KOA had a general store. I also belive it had a pool and putt putt.

this is what I'm thinking Johnny. Get a couple cabins. cabins can hold 5 - 6 people. there's 2 sets of bunks and a double bed. It's airconditioned, and heated, and has a bed, so Frank can't complain. Katy was talking about coming with some of her friends, so they would want that because heaven forbid they sleep close to the ground again! We get the camp sites in the front area that are grouped, and have that as our point of fun. The cabin people can walk their asses back to their site or drive or whatever.

Upon looking at the camp map, I immidiatelly like spots 63-65, 143-145, 131-133. Just throwing that out there. I dont think you have to tent camp only where it says on that map, I think they will let you tent whatever spot you want. If so, clearly the best bet are those back spots 143-145 next to those cabins.

But keep in mind, we'd wake up the entire campground driving all the way to the back.
