Got an 03 Navigator,
Air ride went out on all 4 wheels last night, you can hear a "clicking" sound coming from the back of the truck both with the truck running and when turned off.

Any ides of where to start looking for the cause of the problem? Im hoping it catches on fire but my luck with not having the winning lotto numbers a fire will not happen either.

Thanks guys,
Greg

probably the relay(s), or the pressure switch. My guess would be relay... Is the compressor turning on?

I believe that those will try to level out even when not running. Could be a bad compressor or a broken line.

compressor is not turning on, just hear the constant clicking coming from the back, as if its trying to turn on but wont

It's a relay... The relay isn't supplying power ot the pump so the pump is making the computer keep clicking the relay to turn it on...

Can you drive it??? Im not the best at air ride. But would be willing to look at it for you. Pm for address. 24 and gratiot. If you cant drive it or afford repairs then get under it and check for water/ice in connections and jump the relay to check pump operation. Disconnect a line and check for ICE. if you find any all you need to do is heat it up and drain the moisture. The pumps are tough hopefully not damage.

Is it the compressor itself clicking?

No, nothing from the compressor, the "clicking" is coming from the inside of the truck back by the on/off switch for the air ride, sorry wasnt more clear on where the clicking was coming from

Relay for sure or wiring going to the relay... Double check the ground wire on it before replacing it. Should be a 4 prong relay

If its a 4 pin relay, Any open parts store should have it. If you find a bad relay let me know. I have some in the box. Old stuff from working in the dealer.

not sure on what the factory replacement costs, but you should be able to run a standard Bosch in its place. Just make sure its the same amp. Its probably in the ballpark of a 30/40 amp.

I did not come from a GM store. I have no idea. Was just responding to what was posted. Sorry. I was a Chrysler dealer tech just trying to help.

No no you're good... Just trying to figure out what style he needs... Thought you knew... No big deal...
