Well, figure Ill start an actual thread now that its warmed up and I can actually get started. I start all projects off with getting the car cleaned, because I hate working on dirty ass cars.

Car got its first wash yesterday. Still needs alot of work. Paint needs to be clayed very badly and have the rail dust removed. but at least its clean.

Also popped off the wheel caps and found out each wheel has a dumb splined lock on it. So I gotta get these off before I can start disassembly to remove the K member to make way for the New AJE that just arrived. Wanted to use the TeamZ one, but Dave didnt think itd work with my turbo kit as is.

Looks like there is enough room to get a pair of vice grips on that lock nut. Who in there right mind would steal V6 wheels

Get a deep socket that fits snug on the locks, hammer it on, use an impact. Did this to alot of used cars at a dealer I worked for and it worked great.

Whoever had this thing before let the insurance take it. I'm sure it had better wheels on it. The factory radio is just sitting in the hole. The mach460 speakers are gone. Gas tank is gone. Wiring for nitrous kit is there but nothing else. Cage has been removed. I'm sure the guy just took everything off it and let it get repossessed

so you started a thread about a project, and have literally only washed it and taken the wheel caps off? and you couldnt wait why?

What's the point of a build thread if it's already built?

On a positive note, the k member is already dropped. Rear axle has been removed also. It's now a jackstand queen until the rest of the new suspension arrives. Nothing is going to be reused except maybe the pbr brakes and knuckles. I'm debating whether or not to use them or my 13" cobra setup

Let me know if you decide to sell those charcoal gt seats, does it have rears? any damage?
will do, theyre nice. Rears look new as does passenger, drivers just is a little shinier and has the cracking or whatever you see in the pic

Got the AJE K-member and TeamZ A-arms in, still waiting on the shocks to arrive. Also got the Hydroboost out.

Need to grab some longer lower control arm bolts as the axle side lowers on the 99 axle are too short for the fox axle going in. Also need to find some new rear springs as I dont want to reuse the Eibach lowering springs that came out of it. Hope to have it in by the weekend

Looks great. If it's really going to be a street car, you might want to think about those brakes. They will work fine for short trips, but a night of cruising will beat them up pretty bad.

Yeah, thats what Ive been worried about. Ill give them a shot, Worst case, Ive still got the SN95 axle in the notch I can steal the brakes off of.

looks good, making good progress.

ever find out if that was a real Saleen?
That running horse in the front grill is not correct on the Saleens.

All of the 2000s Ive seen came with this grille, but I dunno about the authenticity. It doesnt have the saleen seats, gauge cluster, or plaque under the hood. But everything has been swapped out on it, so I honestly dont know. Its an actual Saleen body kit, has all the interior stickers, emblems, etc. but the entire front suspension was just half ass bolted in, the ball joints are completely gone, brakes werent even hooked up. Front seats were held in with 1 bolt each and the rears were just set in place. It looks as if they parted out the saleen goodies, wheels, engine, trans, and swapped in junkyard stuff to make it roll. Every bolt ive removed so far aside from the rear control arms and hydroboost has been finger tight
