Hey guys.. I bought this car with a spun rod bearing with the intentions of fixing it an giving it to my wife to drive. Well my wife is 5 foot tall an the setup in this car just isn't for her. She's way to close to the steering wheel an if an accident were to occur then the bag would destroy her.

So I'm asking $900 b/o or possible trade for a foxbody project

The car has 199k on the clock (mostly highway the car went back an forth between here an minnesota for 8 months straight)

Its got new shocks

BRAND NEW good year assurance triple tred tires ($694)

New altinator

New belt

Newer radiator

Interior I'd say is a 8.5 out of 10

Power everything

Some surface rust but not bad.

Looking to move this thing ASAP. All offers will be considered.

Not with my wife driving. She's literally 5 foot on the dot and in order for her to reach the peddles the seat an back have to be all the way forward.
 
Wasn't this for sale for $700 a few days ago with the new shocks/tires/etc? What's changed?

Up for sale is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE....

Car is a two door 4 cylinder se..

has 199k on the clock

charcoal cloth interior

power windows

power locks

BRAND NEW 215-60-15 good years on it maybe 2 months old.

interior is in great condition no rips or tears, non smoker car

THE BAD:

has 2.4 twin cam motor with a rod knock (bought the car with a knock was gonna put a motor in it for a commuter car for my wife but dont have the time).

Small crack across the bottom of the windshield

few small rust spots (just surface rust) on the bottom of rear quarters and truck lid.

dent in passenger fender not bad easily fixable or drive as it. Its not tore up just dented.

Need the space for a new project.

Asking $700 B/O or possible trade for?????

Car has clean title came from Minnesota. Still havent put it in my name yet!! Going down to SOS tomorrow morning to get a quick title for it.

Really kevin?? Wow dude.. I always put shit up online for a few hundred more it gives me trade value an a little more room to budge.. Keep shit like that to urself. I don't come into your posts f'n with stuff. Yes its in my front yard for sale for 700 cuz that's my cash price but I think its fair enough if I were to trade even up no cash involved my trade is worth 9 or so.
 
Don't post two different prices on two different sites. It makes you look like an ass dude. I understand having a CASH price, but for someone who has worked in retail style establishments you should understand you never post your "lowest" price on one site and a higher price on another... Keep the price level across the board and you won't run in to this, anyone could have seen this, I'm just the one who brought it up ;) If its an issue of trade value VS cash value, then put it in both adverts...
 
Yea and being in retail I also know that trade values go a lot farther than cash. SO if someone wants it CASH 700 but if someone wants to trade.. 900.. Fair enough now leave my post alone.
 
So you post it on craigslist for any random stranger for 700, but bump it up to 900 for the car club? Seems pretty backwards to me. I generally give a better price to people I interact with.
 
See Kevin this is EXACTLY why u didn't need to start shit. I just said if someone wants it for CASH its 700 the normal price. On craigslist its 700 because I'm not taking trades. If someone has a fox project then I'm valuing it at 900 because its a decent car an a good mpg DD to have so I'm putting my trade value around 900 so I don't get shafted with no cash in the deal.. Cash talks BS walks plain an simple.

And you didnt say "a trade worth 900", you said 900 OR a trade., you said the exact same thing on craigslist but with a lower price.
Don't blame someone else because you got caught jacking up the price on Motown.

I'm not blaming anyone for anything.. An that is also the old post.. I made a new one with both prices as well. I thought 700 would be ok but I kept getting BS trade offers for like lawn mowers an shit. SO once again I changed the price on CL an here. Honestly someone from here wants it bring me $500 cash and its yours. It wasn't ment to be taken like I'm tryin to screw someone I'm not. I had no intentions of ever having problems with anyone from MM. I was more or less trying to weed out the BS from CL.. I'm sorry for the mix up.

Lol, oops, well I don't know him, but thought rules were rules. I don't like guys who sell for more on a car forum than a classified site either, but I wouldn't call them on it, I'd just leave it be.
