1995 Mustang V6 3.8L possible head gasket failure
I will be working on a 95 mustang soon and it has been reported to have an overheating problem. I am not jumping to conclusions to say this is problem right away, I will inspect all other cooling system components first. I want to get as much info on this common problem as I can.
I have read in multiple mustang forums about using a 96+ or a 99+ 3.8L Head gasket set, as they are superior to the 94-95 Head gaskets. Also read that using a copper gasket spray on both sides also helps seal the head to the block.
Does anyone know anything else about this? I want to be able to do the job one time the best possible way with the best combination of parts.
Thanks.
