1989 mustang notchback money pit lol

it had 2 bent rockers that i replaced got a new dist and got the carb tuned and it is back to running top notch its just not fast enough for me at all!!! lol
 
Its not fast because in 1974 they werent really focusing on HP. You add some new technology to that 1974 engine and you will be suprised..
 
It really al depends on your budget. I am not against the ls swap at all. But its hard to base your expected budget on what someone else spends since deals come and go.

I myself am doing an lq9 swap. But as usual budgets get out of hand quickly.

Just decide what YOU want to do and go from there. Actually looking back, you basically have to rebuy everything anyways so you options are pretty much open to you.
A head/cam and intake swap would wake that thing up dramatically though, even with the shorties you have.
