1989 mustang notchback money pit lol

Lq4 is a good plan. There are better ls motors though.

What's it's gonna cost to get that lq4 adapted and running mid 10's you could build a pretty stout windsor.

see i have one group of ppl telling me go ford rebuild the shit i have and the other ppl say oh go ls ! 2500 and your going 10-11s!!!! so confusing

You MIGHT be able to do a 6.0 swap for 2500.

You need the kmber, motor mounts, engine, headers, exhaust adapted.

Now you need an intake, need to decide on if you want to run a distributer or run the coils. Then you need to build the ls motor to run your goals.

What parts do you currently have?

Headers, exhaust, suspension(front)

plans for a 12 cage with funny car cage around driver seat. UTP racing is doing the cage in November i had to get put on the list. so when thats done the car gets painted and motor can get built

No. What parts do you currently have for your Windsor? Supporting parts like headers and what not.

Question is, what do you really want? You want to run 10.5's on motor and then spray it? Or 10.5's on spray?

10.5 on spray. and for a windor i have headers, msd pro billet dist brand new locked out for spray, big custom motor cam 628 -640 285-298 on 110, solid motor mounts, a nice exhaust system, msd ignition, nos big shot system and thats about it i think!!

car just needs 4.30s and a proper cam shaft and heads. I would go with vic jr's and a vic jr intake and contact jay allen at cam shaft innovations

I know the kid you bought this from(rj) I'm pretty sure the car had a bad cam or bent push rod it had a slight poping from the carb, motor has potential with a lil work good luck

As stated above, you need some 1 3/4 long tubes, 3" exhaust, vic jr heads, intake, custom cam and you will be stylin. I wouldnt bother on all that cage, just get a nice 10 point.

Are those stock 1974 pistons?
