Currently yes, first come first served.
The car is rust free, no bubbles or anything.
WOW, what a HUGE letdown... Sorry to hear you wasted a trip for this Ron.
Sorry to hear...that really sucks. Did the seller reimburse any of your costs since it was not represented accurately?
No I did not, here are some things Ron left out.
I accepted a "cash" offer yesterday afternoon, then 1/2 hour later he tells me he can't get cash but he will bring me a check as he is well known here. I normally would not do that, but since he seems to be known here I tell him its fine. I ask him multiple times if there is any other pictures he would like to see or anything like that, he declines. As far as him renting a trailer, he said he had some buddies he could borrow one from, if I had known he had to rent one we could have made other arrangements, I even offered to wait until next weekend for him to get cash together, but he insisted on coming over today.
Ron, you kept telling me how you were going to strip it down and do it all over again anyway, for the price you were paying what did you expect to get? There is value to the parts that are in this car, you wanted to pay for them and get the rest for free? If it was more work than what you wanted, fine, but don't low ball me and then try and guilt trip me afterwards over this, I would have worked with you on coming over later in the week, or even meeting you part way, but you were the one all in a rush to get it done. I told you I just needed an answer before 5pm sunday one way or the other.
You also make the car sound like it's a rusted out pile, really? post the rest of the pics of the car and let people decide for themselves, I told you when I bought it from pumpgas what he had told me, and that's how I listed it. If it's worse than what he said, then hey, I'm stupid for not seeing it when I bought the car, but to say I intentionally lied or mislead you is crap. I was fine saying it was still for sale and leaving it at that, but you felt the need to post here afterwards.
Thanks for nothing.
have to agree when something is said to be rust free it should be rust free not have frame rails half rotted away.
had a guy drive from Chicago to pick up my roller I sent him pictures from every angle and every door ding I could possibly get. If you knew the guy was driving 3 hrs should of been upfront about the rust.
Ron, I wasn't going to counter you because you had already stretched me further than I wanted to go. I knew my bottom dollar and I was already there.
So your saying you would have bought it if I had gone lower? Than whats the issue? You didn't want to pay that much for the car, I really didn't want to take less. If you had got there and it was nicer than you expected would you have paid more? Where the frame rail has an issue is under the factory battery location, if I was trying to hide it it would have been easy enough to put the mounting bracket back in, but I didn't think it was an issue so I left it out. I wasn't trying to hide anything! It's hard enough for me to buy on here, much less sell something, with me living on the opposite side of the state, why would I want to get a bad rep?
I would have done quite a bit to make this deal happen, I even offered to meet in Lansing or something next weekend if you had wanted, without getting any $ upfront. I was honestly looking forward to meeting someone else from here, as I don't know many people here at all, but it didn't work out at all. I'm pretty easy going, I an would have worked with you however you wanted to, and I thought after we talked on the phone we were good, but I guess not.

Issac
I never meant for this to be a bashing session, it is a nice car that needs work and like I told you I only start with a rust free car. I am sure someone will buy it, not everyone is as picky as I am, I did not post pics of the problems to ruin your sale simply to show others what needs to be done if they buy it
Ron
Well, after a little "cooling down" period, I realize that I'm gonna pay "stupid tax" on this car, serves me right for taking someone elses word on how good the car was underneath instead of really checking it out. Guess that came back to bite me in the ass, how I hate it when that happens.
Ron, that mustang is incredible, I'll be nicer in person than the pics do it justice too. I'll go on record here and say when the Fairmont sells, I'll make sure you get some compensation for your time from sunday, I've always been a stand up guy and that seems like the right thing to do.
That all being said, I still need to move this, so I'm adjusting the price to a level I feel the car is at, as always feel free to let me know if you do not feel it is.
New price, $2600 with most extra stuff, or $2200 roller.
