'00 GT Project

just a heads up BG has a lsx mustang hot side kit, very nice car you got here.

Thanks

I saw that they were making a kit but fabbing is what is fun about making it myself (with the help of my brother lol)
It is also much easier on the wallet$$$$ this way!

Downpipe is complete (except for a tip cut through the bumper)
5" to 4"

Wastegate flange is done

I now need to finish the wastegate dump tube and can get it coated

going to do the rearend swap and alternator bracket this weekend and hopefully get a few other things finished up

This weekend I accomplished:

Finished the wastegate dump
Cut out the bumper for downpipe
Installed new 8.8 rear (3.31, spool, axles, cclip elims, team z Coil over brackets)
It is 94-98 width so it tucked the tires another 3/4" and sure is hard to believe a 325 fits in the stock wheel wells

I need to put on a stainless tip to finish off the downpipe and am going to try to get that ceramic coated this week
Order a few more parts this weekend and hope to have the engine out this week to install the rod bolts, heads, cam and get it running soon
I also rolled it out and snapped a few pics with the new hood sitting on it (Don't mind the dirtyness)

I just finished up welding a stainless tip with rolled edge where I wanted it and am happy with how it came out

It does look like it sticks out but it is going to be black along with the trim ring
The turbo kit is now complete and will be taken to get coated soon

Ordered a Bullet cam that should be here soon
engine should come out this weekend to get it ready(rod bolts, head studs, heads, cam)

need to order the carb and a few misc parts and it should be ready to run

and the good news is.... It runs!!

Still have to do some minor things but the car started up without any issues...

Need to finish the throttle cable, put water in the car, put a tune in the MSD, and wait on the driveshaft to be finished

Hopefully it can be driven this weekend!

quick vid of it running/idling

Been driving it around and took it to Milan on Sat to put some miles on it.

Going to try to make it to the next No ET to get some passes in

Took the car to 131 to put some miles on it and ended up paying the extra $$ to t&t

the car went xxx to the 1/8 with a 1.94 60' before the convertor decided to blow through...(it is 20+ years old lol)

went 12.08 @ 71 so it ETed right in line with last years times! haha
I figured I better not chance it being 100 miles from home

time for a convertor and to try to launch under power!

Wild numbers. Haha 7.00's is equal to 11.0's at worst. But 107+ is like 140+ in the 1/4 if you are hauling pretty good.. nice work.

Pump gas or what? Meth?

What size is the turbo on the car? Do you head out to 131 often?

BW s475, 1.32 ar, 96mm turbine.

I typically go to Milan, but ended up at 131 to watch a friend run his quad that he just finished up.

For the extra $8.00 I figured it was worth trying to make some runs

I finally mounted the boost gauge and rear diff cover last weekend

Car seems to be running good with the new converter also

Going to Milan Friday night for some t&t passes and may go back Sat for no ET

Plan on throwing some racegas in to be on the safe side and car is at 9lbs right now

just got back from Milan

Drove the car there, threw in some 110 to be safe
I dropped the timing and the car ran shitty first pass so I aborted to a 14.xx @ 55mph =/

2nd pass I brought the timing back to where I started and the car went the following
1.99 60'
7.12 1/8 @ 110
10.66 1/4 @ 140

was then asked to get a rollbar and harness =P

I'm happy with it! now to work on the 60's
