ZR1 number released

The ZR1 is going to be great. Even for the price tag. Why you ask... Stock, it will outrun stock cars that cost more than triple it's price tag.
The other great thing is Corvette and GTR are in a battle. The ZR1 will force Nissan into a faster GTR (V spec) which will force a faster ZR1, and so on.

Just hope that we will not be seeing too much of this at the track with the ZR1.

I ain't exactly gonna call it a battle. Car and Driver ran 12.1@115 in the GTR this month. I know, different days, different tracks, but I could run 12.1@115 in a Z06 shifting with my left elbow, let alone a ZR-1.

My GTR skepticism has yet to be quelled sufficiently to consider it a battle.

solid 10's with a warrenty? will hammer Ferraris and Lamborghinis? for the price? I'll take 2 please. No. wait I'll take one and a cam, pulley tune package. Thanks.

Here are some fun facts....

In 1991 only 2 vehicles ran sub 5 second 0-60 mph.

911 Turbo MSRP@ $97,000 1/4 mile 13.4
GMC Syclone MSRP@ $26,000 1/4 mile 13.9

That's in 1991 dollars. How many cars will run sub 5's now? Dozens. Sub 4's??? More than a few.

The ZR1 is a bargain. The GT500 is a bargain. You get so much more for your money.

And if someone has gotten a "stock" Z06 in the 10's then I wouldn't bet against a 9 for the ZR1. This will be fun!!!

131 MPH in the 1/4 is flying!

Even at $100K I still see a lot of value in the product.

Im kinda torn between really liking the ZR1 and/or Disliking GMs new supercar. I think they shoulda all out made a new hot shit car, like ford did the the GT and leave the ZO6 to be the performance Vette. I also think the see through hood is kinda cheesy... Its still fast as hell and prolly a riot to drive... Im glad it did 205MPH tho, Cause it still doesnt beat the M5 SEDANs 207MPH:icon_wink

I just wonder if all the GM guys are gonna complain that they had to put a blower on it to make power, At least thats what they said when the 03 Cobra was kicking ass.

Dont get me wrong, I think its pretty sweet. I would buy one, It just wouldnt be my first pick if I could Only afford one $125k car... If I could afford a few, It would be in my garage.

If these care are reliable, GM did gooood.:D It's a monster of a car the way it sits with more in the bag if you want it. 131mph...figure a bit more in cold weather? 9's would be a dream or miracle but sticky tires and 1/4 mile gearing would make it a reality. Oh..I thought these would be track numbers from the german ring....

I want.:)

I'm also torn between these cars! Yes for the money its a kickass car and i like vettes to. But if they have made these reliable servicable car, then you can't beat that..

but i would like to own them both!!!!:seizure:
