But, what makes you think you can keep up with a C6 Z06 from a 50-140? I guess I am just a little confused since you got beat by a stock C5 Z06 and a sto ckC5 Z06 would get absolutely destroyed by a stock C6 Z06. I am just trying to see where you are coming from. Maybe I am missing something?

"CableGuy", the Z06 doesn't trap 130 stock (as much as I would like for it to do, it just doesn't). The 129.5 mph trap came from a driver that is the best at what he does while running at sea level at a HUGE negatvie DA. A stock Z06 with a good driver will trap 124-126.

Not sure if you are talking to me or Hemi, but if you are talking to me, I prefer to race anyone from a roll..:icon_mrgr

If I HAVE to dig race, I will, but I definitely prefer not to.

I just dont understand how you think you can compete with a car like that at the top end. If you said you think you could take him in the 1/8th, I wouldn't even argue, because it's possible, but there is NO WAY IN HELL, you are going to hang at the top of the 1/4 with him, roll or not.

If you think me and Ken was a legit race, then never go street racing. We were fucking around having fun. He wooped my ass, no doubt. If i'm gonna bolt the slicks up and vht my shit the race would be different.

Ive typed this several times but never posted. First of my truck runs form a roll. Weather you believe that or not I dont care. 400wheeltorque, and 2900 lbs. with me in my truck with a tank of fuel. Do the math to the zO6 in weight and rear wheel torque and you see where I'm coming from. I said i'll keep up with your manual tranny and stuff, but after 140 my truck is done. ***I think*** It tops out around 160ish but I cannot verify that because I have no speedo.

FADi you have been totally cool about this as well as I have, its other members who turned this gay. Let's keep our heads up and clean and we'll talk over the summer provided my truck is running. I cant make any gurantees. IF you beat me by a mile and stuff, good I'll admit I was wrong. Lets end this thread on good terms, I'm going to stop posting again, that seems to be the best thing.
 
My intention was never to get in an arguement with you, Hemi. I just wanted to see where you were coming from, that's all. Make sure to keep me updated this summer and we will do a 50-140 run, get it on video, and post it for shits and giggles.

Is that a guess, or something that was verified on some type of dyno? Just curious, cause my over 3,600lb car only put down 434 ft. lbs at the rear, and that trapped 121.
What gears/trans do you run?
 
ZO6 for the WIN! At least that's what I saw in the VID. That thing is fast Fadi nice fucking car. Even though I'm a ford guy till the end that FGT got spanked. I cant stand people who just cannot man-up and say they lost, childish if I may say so. Oh and the S-10 good luck - LOL

Um...how are you calculating rear wheel torque? Just wondering, because I've seen 1200ft/lb numbers on a dyno due to the torque converter (in a high 10 car). Kinda tough for me to understand how a mild vortec headed 355 will make more rear wheel torque than a 427cid LS7. We're talking about a 355 that only goes 112mph @ 2900#.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're completely wrong if you think you will keep up with that car from a roll. 112mph trap speeds vs. 127mph trap speeds are proven, right?

The 12 sec. LS1 with spray? My call out list just gets longer and longer.

At any rate, I do believe the 400ft lbs had something to do with the converter, but it was stock at the time so who knows. I didnt look at the graph closely or for very long so I cant remember exactly how it looked, I just remember the power #'s. It put down 300hp to the tires too, so the 400 isnt far off. 3.73's and 28" tall tires. I cant remember what I go through the traps at RPM wise but I know it should have 26" tall tires or more gear, but I like to highway drive it. I think with some optimized suspension and a better tune-up 120 traps would be attainable. Remember the 12.20 run was with a hurt motor.
