Z06 + rain = not a good time.

I'm glad you agree. You obviously don't have experience driving a Z06 in the rain where deep ponds of standing water have developed..

Were not talking about some 50 year old putting his 13 second car into the wall at the track here ..

Getting jacked by the weather could happen to -anyone-.

If you would have read my post I said "Sounded like the guy didn't know how to drive either" I didn't say this was the potential cause of the accident. :shake: Good detective work though.

Wonder what tires were on it.
Been in the rain a few times in race tires and it was a pretty puckering experience.

So let me get this straight. Some guy driving a Vette spun it cause of water. His ass end is hanging out in the right lane and then is pissed off that a Big truck that could have weighed up to 40 tons that was traveling in the right lane couldn't swerve around him and not hit his precious toy. I mean I feel for the guy, and all but come on. Big trucks don't handle like a Vette, lol.

Easy mdhmi might get on you about Vette owners :jagoff:

Oh man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that happened. I'd rather just see mine get totaled, then walk outside and notice everyday there is a new ding or scratch!

BTW this guy is a little full of shit, i know that area right there very well. Where he was getting on and lost control of the car there is NO WAY there was a big puddle of standing water, that turn of the E-way is banked pretty well for the water to drain into the median where it has a gravity drain to the stream not far from there. The area he is referring to that has pumps and would flood if the pumps were inoperable is on the north side of the cone road bridge where the E-way goes under a set of train tracks. and i doubt those pumps were not working because if that were the case there would be over 5 feet of water and the e-way would be shut down. Just thought i would share that info.

BTW

"It happened Wednesday night, July 2nd. I was heading home from Milan, merging onto US23 South from Cone Rd. Time of death was approx. 7:30-7:45pm"

That Z06 is a loss. :(

Looks like the rear suspension sustained some serious damage...damn shame, they are special cars.
