yukon electrical issue

bought a 02 Yukon the other day and got it on the road yesterday and noticed that my wipers only work on high then when you shut them off they don't return back to the bottom of the windshield ( don't know why didn't check that on my test drive )

also found out while driving home at 2am that none of my dash lights come on or any of the interior lights that are suppose to come on when your headlights are on turned on so I was driving not knowing how fast I was going , but if I turn on my dome light then they all work ( it was daylight out when I test drove it so I wouldn't have realy noticed that )

I did notice that when I open any door none of the door ajar lights come on in the dash

all gauges work and so far the only light that ive seen work on the dash is in the message center that says security and flashes

anyone got any ideas ? things to check ? ways to fix these issues ?

found out my wiper problem is probably my wiper pulse board , 45dollar fix ,still no idea on the dash lights thow

Now when I open the drivers door my radio doesn't want to shut off , but it shut off when I opened the pass door

I can't find the door button , probably why I have that issue lol


Any idea on the dash light issue. , that's the biggest PITA of them all

ajar switch is most likely in the latch

Makes sence , I need door pins so that may be my issue there , it just may not sit right on the striker , . , ideas on the dash light thow ? They work just not when there suppose to

dome postion pretty much bypass's it. ohm the dimmer switch to test it

Might not do you any good but my regal had the exact same issue and there was a toasty looking terminal on the connector cavity of the switch.

got the door/radio issue fixed just sprayed some contact cleaner in the lock are , got it good and soaked and moved the latch around an all seems good now

have not had a chance to look at the other issues thow , probably selling the Yukon after I fix the issues and buy truck , im not a suv person at all
