30 must be the new "old fart" age. I wasn't really getting it. I do agree that the music kicks rap's ass though!

It's a mix of traditional death metal and folk metal (Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, Fintroll, etc.). Folk metal is interesting, sometimes really good, but having the death influence really makes for some great music.

I like Havok. Kinda got bored w/that latest album after listening to it a bunch, but it's still solid!

Here's a local band, Battlecross, that I found earlier this year. Got to see them in Westland at the Token Lounge a couple months ago and they were f'n awesome. They were just on tour w/Five Finger Death Punch, Trivium, Killswitch, etc. Awesome thrash with a bit of death influence!

 
I have heard battlecorss guy at work told me about them. Love the music but i'm 44 never been able to get into the growl. lol

this is what I really get into. Jeff Waters such a under rated played.
