I've noticed that in my work, a lot of people (who also have Verizon) don't get service when my iPhone does. Or theirs is much weaker than mine. How do two phones pulling the same signal get different service when setting next to each other?

Chances are your iPhone has a better radio than whats found in your coworkers phones. When I had my Evo 4G with Sprint, my brothers Sprint iPhone 4 could pull a signal when I couldnt.
